Sorry, just trying to be funny. Didn't mean to damping your enthusiasm. You should still keep to your walking plan. Might not be as bad as what I said, and even if it is, it will be worth it. It's a historic event; you will remember that walk for the rest of your life! I have a toddler, or I'd do it too! This is all so exciting!I guess it’ll be an early round of Fantasia mini golf then.
But seriously, no need to be such a downer.
here are the phase closures explained. So guests with ADR can get in all the way to Phase 3So will having an ADR or FP elsewhere in the park that day at least get you into HS that day?
If you plan to go opening day do you plan to book any ADRs or FP?
well yeah, it doesn't guarantee going in if the park hits phase 4 and everyone is locked out. That's a full capacity park. But they will go by the phased closures accordingly. Meaning maybe, and this is all just speculation for the sake of this argument, lets say you come to DHS without buying a ticket in advance and plan to buy it at the ticket window...you might be locked out at around 10am while people with tickets, staying at Disney or with dinning reservations are still let in.That’s what I thought, they’ll use a Phase-type system for entry. Hoping an AP and resort guest would grant better access. But doesn’t seem the case. This is the disclaimer on their main SWGE website, more detailed than what’s posted when booking a resort.
Capacity for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and its experiences is limited. Access to the park, land and experiences may be restricted or unavailable depending on guest demand and other factors.
Park tickets, Annual Passes, vacation packages and Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stays do not guarantee access to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Very, very rare. But with DHS being the smallest in capacity it could very well hit thatHow often does Phase 4 happen? I thought that was pretty rare. I realize it could still happen in this case.
So based on all of that, it seems like if you have an ADR, an AP or are a resort guest you will most likely make it into HS at some point however you may not get anywhere near Galaxy’s Edge.
No, we know that the parameters are there, these are the rules, what we don't know is when or if it will hit capacityThat’s my point. We have no idea how they are planning to handle this.
Yes, as mentioned up thread, during sww we were able to camp out, many people would show up in their cars around midnight, park, bring out chairs, sleeping bags, small tents and then before opening we should take everything back to the car. Some people stayed the entire weekend. The parking lot is still open 24 hours. Will Disney even allow Line Camping/ Queing the Night Before? Im thinking about bringing sleeping bags or even a tent. Would pulling up in a car at DHS say around midnight run the risk of being towed? Any one with experiences at previous SW weekends or similar please feel free to share.
Also... If you are checking into a hotel the same day you are trying to enter a park for Morning EMH are you eligible? (As in you havent yet checked into your disney hotel reservation for that day/night)

Yes they will be able to tell you at the hotel. For people driving they post signs all around propertyUm, ok, this sounds scary. I sort of know about this, but have never had to deal with it. Wow. This is called "all bets are off." Talk about disrupting my plans.
In phase 4, do they post signs at the hotels to tell you not to bother going to the parks? Or do they stop running the buses?
The only advantage would be in case of phase 3 closing, with an adr you would still be able to get in. Other than that, noI managed to snag an 8:05 ADR at H&V on 8/29. Any guesses as to whether that will gain me any advantage? I don't care if I actually eat there, I just want to be able to get in the park.

Pandora opened at 6:30am. No reservation will be a ppo for a long timeThanks! I'm undecided to keep it or not bit may not hurt to have it as a bit of insurance.
I'm assuming that they will open the park before 8am on opening day, so this won't be PPO. Anyone recall park opening time for either Avatar or Toy Story?
