When did you realize that you had grown up?

When I was 25 with 2 little kids and a mortgage!

The first time was around 25, I moved out of a shared apartment and was living on my own. The last time was when my mom passed away when I was 48, we were very close and I relied on her a lot (mostly for simple things like how many trays of food for 50 people or where can I find a good tailor). I still have questions and she’s the first person I think to ask.

Im still waiting and in no hurry. I hit 60 this year and find growing up to be overrated.

When I was 18 and had my mother and step-father ask me for money for the mortgage because they drank too much that month.

That's a hard question for me. I will be 59 next week and sometimes don't feel grown up! Maybe not until both my parents had died (a few years ago). I do have 3 adult kids but that didn't necessarily equate with grown up to me.
