Video Debut of Canadian Lumberjack Show

I honestly only watched less than a minute of the video, that was enough for me

I am surprised that Disney doesnt make them carve things that will be sold later.

On our next trip I will probably just keep walking past, sigh.

Not impressed. Not impressed at all.

It's not like I was an Off Kilter lover either (TBH, just didn't see them that much to have an opinion either way) - but I would *much* prefer a musical group over this.

DH and I watched the video, and even he said he was bored with it. He's seen a lumberjack show before that really impressed him and he said was awesome, so he was actually a bit excited about the change at Epcot. but after watching this video he thought it was as boring as I thought it was.

And seriously, chain saws in epcot? I have no desire to be enjoying my F&W festival yummies and listening to chain saws.

Embarrassing to watch. Not the kind of entertainment one should expect to find at Disney...or anyplace that charges more than $5 or $10 admission for the day. Sad.

Having read all the posts so far - seems like most people feel this piece of entertainment is below par for what Disney usually provides.

Yep - it's day 1 - and indeed may get better over time - which is exactly what I read that they have, (rumour) that they have a 1 year contract.

For me it needs more spectacle, more danger, more action, more SPACE -

and until then, think I'd prefer Disney to install a 60 inch plasma, and play a continual loop of Monty Python singing 'I'm a Lumberjack and I'm OK' - I may then stay longer to watch.

I think i'd watch that for about 3 minutes and keep walking...

I saw the last 5 minutes of the show on Sunday and I was in shock at how bored I was even though it was my first time seeing this show. All I saw was a mildly amusing/more annoying host direct these two guys to chainsaw a log and create a tiny chair.I didn't even watch the video posted,I'm just giving my opinion on what I saw live,I sure hope there's more to this show because what I saw was not something I see lasting at WS,and I wasn't even an Off Kilter fan so its not like I'm mad at them for taking Off Kilter away.Based on what I saw Off Kilter is a much better act for WS.I was standing in line for a Starship concert and heard the roar of the chainsaws and it just seemed weird and made me miss hearing Off Kilter's music from across WS.Again these are my first observations and opinions,I'll check out the video and experience the full show live to get a definite opinion, but as of now its a thumbs down.

I went and complained about the noise of the chainsaws. I pointed our that OSHA would make me wear ear protection if I spent a day around that so They need to start handing our ear plugs. Just bizarre

We'll give it a look or two next week, Single Digits ya know. Actually there's a country fairgrounds near our cottage in Sullivan County Pa where a similar show will take place this weekend so we know what to expect. Still disappointed on the loss of Off Kilter, I always thought of them as an iconic part of WDW, sort of like COP or Space Mtn, but then I thought that about the Adventurer's Club too.

What the crap was that? I'm thankful I watched the video so I don't waste my time watching it in person next month.

Jabs and guesses are pretty accurate.

Could we just wait to see what they actually do with it? There's no way to know if the videos on youtube and elsewhere are what they are going to be doing in Epcot. I'm expecting a little more polished production than what I see on sample videos.

Really, it's a little premature to call it a bust.

I watched the video of the show at epcot yesterday. Dh and I were both bored. He was looking forward to this.change, but was disappointed and said the lumberjack shows he has seen before were way better than that.

Neither of us were off kilter followers, so iour reactions have nothing to do with and loyalty or irritation that that group is gone. It was just very boring to us. We especially did not like the chainsaw portion. I have no desire to hear chain saws in epcot.

...I was standing in line for a Starship concert and heard the roar of the chainsaws and it just seemed weird and made me miss hearing Off Kilter's music from across WS.....
That will be nice to hear a half dozen times a day in Epcot. :rolleyes2 :sad2:

....next week, Single Digits ya know.....Bill From PA
Have a great trip, Bill. Wish I was going to be there instead of heading in for a knee replacement tomorrow, out of commission for some time ahead.

If they add a few more acts like this they can name the whole area Circus Sideshow Land.;)

No offense to these gentlemen but even with a larger stage and log rolling, I just don't see the "WOW" factor. And IMO I don't think it will ever have it. The sounds of chainsaws in Epcot, really? Sounds like neverending construction.

What were you thinking Disney Management? :sad2:

Horrible.

I know what would give it some *POP*......maybe a talking snowman (we could call him, maybe, "Olaf")....and a couple princesses....maybe one wearing blue and one wearing burgundy.

That would be something new and exciting....never seen at WDW, yet! :thumbsup2

reminds me of the NY Jets replacing Smith with Vick. Both not worth starting.
