*I'm Back!* We're getting married..at Disney World!!! Jeff & Kathy's PJ! UPDATE: Let's Party! (9/18)

Awww yay wedding time. Seeing your pictures makes me so sad it is over. Best day of my life, as I am sure you agree. I just can't believe it is over.

P.S. Your flower girl is freaking adorable.

Thanks for sticking around! Yes it was the best day of my life! I'm alright with dragging this out just to keep reliving it again :) I wish I could go back and do it all again.

Thank you! She was absolutely adorable. She was so excited about everything! She called me a princess the whole day!

I love the "getting ready" pics...so much fun! It must be fun for you re-living it all while documenting for all of us!!

Thank you! It was so much fun! We had the best time and it is fantastic to relive it. Might be part of why it has taken me so long, I just don't want it to end!

Yay you've started the wedding!! Though not to totally skip over the dessert party, which looked wonderful. Your photos came out amazing (even with that one random woman!!) Hope all is well at home!

Thanks for sticking around! The dessert party was amazing, I am so glad we did it. Especially as our rehearsal. It was so easy to go around and talk to people (even though there were so many!) At first I wasn't a big fan of our photos, not because of the Roots, just because of how I look haha! But I do love them now :)

Things at home are alright, sadly one of my cousins that I was pretty close with passed away unexpectedly after giving birth to her 3rd child. It's been very hard on our family but we all feel a little better knowing we were all together last time in the happiest place on earth.

Saturday October 10th Part 2: More Getting Ready!

Beaute was finished and getting ready to leave. So before they left, my hairdresser asked if I wanted her to put my veil in. Since I figured none of us would know exactly what to do I had her do it.

I wish I could remember what her name was. She was fantastic and did such a great job with my hair and make-up, and was so sweet.

Not long after they left there was a knock at the door to my room. I wasn’t sure who would be knocking at this time. There was a great surprise :)

Our floral coordinator had sent us a bouquet of roses! I was not expecting that at all. It was so sweet of her. There was even a hidden Mickey! I LOVE hidden Mickeys!

I think this was around the time Nate went down to the boys room to take some pictures of them getting ready.

Then there was another knock at the door. This time it was our floral! I couldn’t wait to see all the bouquets, and especially the floral ball for our flower girl!

I found my hidden Mickey! Can you tell I was excited?

Maid of Honor Mary with the bridesmaid bouquet

Aaannnnddd my reaction to the flower girl floral. I don't have a pic of it by itself but I will point it out when it's in group pics. It...was....adorable!!! (again if you couldn't tell by my reaction)

Lydi's reaction

Everything looked fantastic! I was getting more and more excited! After the flowers came, the Roots let us know that we had quite a bit of time before I needed to get my dress on. And by quite a bit of time, I mean like at least 30 minutes! In true Nadarski fashion, we were ahead of schedule haha! So, a couple of my bridesmaid’s took lunch orders and went down to get food. We ended up having a picnic on the floor of my room! It was so cute!!

Everyone got sandwiches, except for Lydia who had mac and cheese. She only ate a little so the rest of us had a couple bites lol. I wasn’t too happy, the special today was a meatball sandwich and I LOVE meatball sandwiches. So I asked them to get me one, but they didn’t! They figured it would be too messy. Umm it’s not like I was already in my dress! Oh well :/ Apparently I made myself feel better by eating some swedish fish.

While we ate, we were also watching the Illini football game. We live pretty close to the University so we are big Illini fans, so it only made sense to turn it on.

When we were finished eating, I decided it was time to give Lydia her flower girl present.

Patiently waiting

Somehow I don’t have any close up pictures of it, but it’s a bracelet I found on etsy. There is a charm on it that says Flower Girl. She loved it. She kept showing off her pretties, and wanted to show her pretties to her daddy! Which is good because daddy was on his way to the room.

I don't know what was so funny but she is just adorable in this pic!

I love this pic :) I think I’m going to get a large print and give it to Shelby. Lydia will have to recreate it when she get married. So sweet. Not long after that, it was time for me to get my dress on and get ready for our first look!!

Next up: Dress on and first look!

So glad to see you back!

I'm sorry for your family's tragedy.

Hope things get settled with your video ASAP (just saw your post on FB)

Wow, I just found you report and read it completely through. We were married in Disney in 2008 also at ADH and loved that place. Our ceremony was in Epcot and we had a dessert party that night back in Epcot. I am really enjoying your report.

First I love your dresses for Dapper Days, where did you get them? Your planning and food tasting looked wonderful. Reading your report has made me relive our wedding and all the fun we had.

Your wedding gown is just beautiful and love the dress for your Dessert Party.

Can't wait to read the rest of your report.

Linda

Yay! Love these pics! I am so glad you had some time to relax with your maids before the ceremony. Not having to rush makes such a huge difference. My advice for brides: take whatever time you think it will take to get things done and double it, or at least do a plus 50%. Take time to breathe it all in and enjoy the moments pre-ceremony. I'm so glad you were able to eat something and watch some football--my kind of girl!

Your hair and makeup is fabulous, love those lashes! :bride: The veil is soooo lovely.

The flower girl is precious--and I absolutely agree on that photo. It's so touching. Must keep that and bring it out when she gets married.

Hey, it's okay to re-live it all! We are happy to come along! I still look at the photo album of my wedding--but now I look at it because my 6 year granddaughter likes to look at it with my husband. She says, "Oooh, wasn't grandma so pretty?" And he says, " You're grandma was very pretty. And now she is beautiful!" (Good answer!) :smooth:

Can't hardly wait to see you in your gown! What a beautiful young woman you are!

Yay! Can't wait to see it!!

I plan to work on that one tonight. I was holding off for the video because I couldn't remember what all was said at our ceremony, but then I remembered I typed it up for our officiant so it's in my Google drive! So I can proceed!

So glad to see you back!

I'm sorry for your family's tragedy.

Thanks! It's good to be back! I got into kind of a funk I guess about updating, but I'm back into it now!

Thank you. I send David a facebook message, just checking that he got the emails. That was my biggest worry was that somehow the emails went to junk because I hadn't heard anything back. He said he'll get me another song choice later this week so hopefully not much longer now!

Oh wow welcome! Thank you for reading through the whole thing! It's gotten quite a bit longer than I originally thought it would! Oh yay a fellow ADH bride! I absolutely loved it there too!

Our Dapper Day dresses we got from modcloth.com. The planning was so much fun! I LOVED our planner and still keep in touch with her a bit.

Aw thank you! I LOVED my dresses. Wish I would have thought a bit more about shoes for both but oh well. I should have more to update soon!

Thank you! I think our little picnic was one of my favorite parts of getting ready. It was fun to just sit on the floor and chill. I may still be a bit bitter about not getting my meatball sandwich though  I'm not sure how it worked out that we had so much time but we did! And I was grateful for it! I think we even had a bit longer than they told us. I think they said I would get in my dress at 1 and it wasn't until a little after 1. Probably helped that we were so close to our first look location.

Thank you so much for all your kind words. And your husband is a smart man with that answer ;)

I'm sorry for what your family has gone thru. I also follow Mary's reports and since she stopped posting the Italy-Switzerland trip report ( my ulterior motive is finding out about it since we are going at the end of August) I was starting to think that something had happened to her, you or your dad. I think that I speak for many who really enjoy both of your writing styles. You should be leaving soon on your honeymoon as I recall, hopefully there will be another report on that:yay::yay:

Love that this report is long and really enjoying it. Thanks so much for the link to modcloth.com. Love their items. Will have to check it out some more.

Those pictures with your flower girl are so precious!! I do hope they recreate that shot someday for her wedding!

Slightly off topic (well not a part of the timeline) but your veil has to be one of my most favorite I've ever seen. So soft and romantic!

Thank you. It's been tough but we're getting through it. Our Italy-Switzerland trip was AMAZING! Our guides were fantastic and just made the trip so great! I will tell Mary she needs to get back to her report. She's talked about getting back to it several times. It looks like the trip is a bit different from ours. They go to a cheese factory!! Might have to take the trip again :rotfl: I will definitely be doing a honeymoon report here. We leave around Memorial Day!

I'm glad you are enjoying my report! You're welcome! I haven't been on there in a while but I need to check it our too, they have some really cute stuff!

Aww thanks :) It matched my dress so well. I really loved it.

Saturday October 10th Part 3: Dress on and First Look!

It was finally time for me to put my dress on! The men stepped outside so I could get my dress on, and then they came in to document zipping it and everything. Of course I chose to have my sister zip me up.

Like everyone else, it was a little awkward trying to figure out how to hold up the dress so it didn’t look awkward in pictures. Zipping was easy, clasping it was another story :rotfl:

She finally got it! Yay!

I LOVE this picture. I think this is when they told me to look outside and pretend I saw Jeff dancing in the courtyard. After that I grabbed my wedding present from Jeff.

I don’t have any close ups of the bracelet but it was just a simple pearl bracelet. A little back story, a jewelry store in our town does a pearl sale every year. We got the flyer about their sale and I wanted to get some simple pearl earrings. So one day Jeff and I went and I said I wanted to ask about a bracelet. Since I said that, Jeff told me he was thinking about getting me one as a wedding gift. So I knew ahead of time what it was, just didn’t know how it would look.

The last piece of jewelry I needed to put on was a very special piece. When we picked out my dress, we decided I would wear the pearl necklace my mom go for me. She used her own money and would buy us a pearl or 2 at the store’s pearl sale. They are add-a-pearl necklaces. After she passed away, my dad took her add-a-pearl necklace and broke it up between me and my sister. So our pearl necklaces are very special to us. Mary had the fantastic idea to have my dad come put my necklace on me. It was a special moment when he could see me first and we could share just a little moment together.

I was trying very hard not to cry too much, but at this moment it was difficult. After he left the room, Mary helped me get my shoes on. While Lydi let me know she found my chapstick (that I hadn’t lost :rotfl2:)

And then….it was finally for the first look! For our first look, we did something I don’t think too many people do, or even get the chance to do. We wanted our family to be able to see the first look from a far. Jeff was able to watch his best man’s first look from a distance, and that is actually what changed his mind. When we were talking with the Roots they told us the courtyard outside of our room was actually where we would be doing our first look! Jeff’s mom’s room had a good size balcony so anyone who wanted to, went on the balcony to watch :)

They all waited there while they got Jeff set and brought me down. It was time to see my soon-to-be hubby! I was very excited, and only a little nervous. Not as much as I thought I would be, I was just ready to see him

I love this! Not sure what my dad's doing at that moment, hopefully just taking his own picture lol

Showing Jeff the hidden Mickey in my bouquet, I was loving it! Can you tell by my excited face :rotfl:

I don't remember what all we talked about, but I do remember telling him about not getting a meatball sandwich for lunch. He told me he got one! I was like that's not fair!! And then he told me he got a cheesecake brownie for dessert!! Again not fair! I asked him where mine was. He said he didn't get me one. Not very romantic conversation but hey, it was very us, we like food! :rotfl2:

Turning around to say hi to everyone!

After that we went to take a few pictures of us before the rest of our bridal party joined. I'll leave this one off with another adorable picture of our adorable flower girl. I don't think anyone could get enough of her!

I know I keep saying it but isn't she just the cutest! Next time, pre-ceremony pictures!

What an amazingly sweet moment with your dad. Was it just the two of you and your sister in the room? The pictures are so touching <3

Your first look!!!! As I'm sure you know I'm highly inn support of having your most important family/friends watch from a distance, it just makes the moment extra special for everyone :D

And I see nothing wrong with talking about food!

Crying right now after your story about the pearl necklace. The pictures tell the perfect story, definitely a special moment between you and your dad.

I had to laugh at the first look story also. Thats totally how we were, it was so not romantic at all! I know we talked about food also ;)

Yes it was just the three of us in the room...well other than the Roots and Trinity haha! I love those pictures.

Aww thanks! I loved our first look. It was so fun to have everyone watching. Jeff's sister joked about hooting and hollering, I was like umm yeah no. Once we acknowledged them that was fine, but I was like please not before lol. I see nothing wrong with talking about food either! Haha. I am totally a Disney foodie so it only seemed appropriate.

It was a very special moment. I'm glad Mary thought of doing it.

Haha! Well, I did first read your posts on the dining reviews board so it's only fitting that being Disney foodies, we talk about food at our first looks haha!

Love this, you look stunning and I love your meatball sandwich conversation (so cute)! Congratulations! xoxo

Beautiful bride! Handsome hubby to be! Love your dress--very lovely. Everything just came together so beautifully.

I agree about getting teary over the pearls and your mom. I think in the big moments of our lives like this those who have gone before us are with us, too. And I'm quite sure would she have been proud of you and happy to see you so happy. Your sis is awesome, btw--what a great sister! :flower:

The flower girl is so precious--how old is she? She is obviously enchanted by you and the wedding. Cute, cute, cute!

Those are amazing pictures!! And what a wonderful idea to do it like that!! Also so sweet about the pearl necklaces...I love stories like that. You will treasure that forever I'm sure.

Such beautiful photos. You look stunning and I LOVE your first look set up with your family and bridal party watching from the balcony. Such a special moment.

That is such a special moment for you and your dad. I love that your mom did that pearl sale every year and that you are your sister are able to have such a fond memory to keep of her.

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your amazing day.

Again, Congratulations and I wish you and Jeff a life full of love, laughter and happiness <3!
