Drinking around Epcot

We never make it all the way around...aka maybe three countries in:rolleyes1...but I love the margaritas at La Cava del Tequila, I've never tried it but I've heard about the Aquavit shot in Norway, the Tipsy Ducks in Love in China was unique, definitely grab a beer in Germany, we grabbed a wine flight at Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar which was a nice break, the MMMHops in America was awesome (Hanson's beer if you couldn't guess), and you've got to get a beer in Canada (like previously mentioned, La Fin du Monde is awesome if you like beer - we still drink it at home all the time).

HAVE FUN!:drinking1

Done it a couple times. Pretty much stick to beers but I do share a bottle of wine with the wife and mom at dinner. The key is start early and drink slow and have a bottled water every once in a while. We usually just stroll around world showcase and let the kid do all the Kidcot stuff and Agent P missions. She has a lot of fun with those.

Mexico is my favorite!

If they still have it there's a good beer at the market in Japan sold in bottles and you can sample it. White Beer by Ginga Kogen. A good choice if you aren't into sake. Germany, Noray, Canada, and UK are good beer spots too. USA pavilion has some craft also.

We do the wine flights in Germany every trip. Really nice. They also have a nice cheese tray. We bought it the last time and my daughter and I shared it (the cheese tray not the wine. We each had our own wine flight.). I also love the orange slushie in France. Sooo good!!! My son loves trying the different beers. So much to pick from!!!

Enjoy!

My fiancé doesn't drink so he would judge me if I attempted this alone lol but I can give a few suggestions for drinks. Try the sake bar in Mitsukoshi in Japan. They have descriptions of the different kinds of sake to help you decide. I recommend the Nigori which is an unfiltered sake which is cloudy/white and taste more like a sweet milky rice drink. I'm not sure you can get this in a cart in Germany but I know they have it in the Biergarten restaurant; try the schofferhofer grapefruit. It's a way to cheat because it has a lesser abv I think like 3%? I also recommend taking the time to wait in line for a margarita in the Mexico Pavillion inside. Go to the tequila bar La Cava Del Tequilla, there's usually a wait to get in but it's worth it as they have way more options than the outdoor stand. I like the Horchata, the jalapeno margarita and the avocado. Lastly you should def try to have a Grand Marnier Orange Slush in France. Good luck :)

Just to point out, ordering Guinness (note spelling) in the UK pavilion is the equivalent of going to the US pavilion and ordering a Labatts....

I got the (fair) comparison...but the Labatts name will go over the head of 90+% of Americans....Molson is a little more known. Do they even sell Labatts at the Canada Pavilion?

The Grey Goose and Grand Marnier Slush in France is awesome.

Also, when we do this, we start in Mexico. I have never done it the other way. I feel like ending with one of those margs (cava not stand) would be the nail in the coffin.

One tip - do every other or every third pavilion and walk around the Showcase 2 or 3 times (if you're serious about hitting every country) - each loop around is about a mile and it helps you work off the snacks & drinks without feeling too gross. Not ideal in the afternoon heat - but very pleasant in the evening before illuminations.
I agree with this! While I've never made it to every country in 1 day.... I have done every other country and walked a lap with water in between. I think that my record is Mexico Germany China France Italy America and Canada in the same visit. My favorites are beer in Canada, and Grey Goose Slush in France.

My must do's are definitely:

Mexico - Avocado Margarita, or Tequila Flight (or both!) from La Cava del Tequila
Germany - Schofferhofer Grapefruit Beer from Trinken (The Beer Cart)
Italy - Wine from Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar - They have an amazing selection, and we try and switch it up every time.
France - Grand Marnier Slush from The Champagne and Wine Kiosk (Super Size it if you're feeling bold that day!)
UK - Strongbow and Black from The Rose & Crown Pub (Strongbow Cider with a shot of Black Currant.)
Canada - Moosehead Lager is always an old faithful for the non adventurous type, but I highly recommend the Labatt Bourbon Barrel Ale, or The Neige Premiere Apple Ice Wine from Trading Post Refreshments. Now that Canada has the new "Bar" in place, it's definitely become a favorite of mine.

The rest is what I'll get if we're "Drinking Around the World", and we hit all the countries:

Norway - Aquavit Glacier Shot from The Snack Cart
China - Plum Wine from Joy of Tea
America - On the current menu - Hazed Hoppy Session Ale from Block & Hans
Japan - Kirin Frozen Beer, or Cold Saki from Kabuki Cafe
Morocco - Lillet from Spice Road Table (This is my favorite out of this bunch. Recommend trying it at least once!)

Happy Drinking, and be safe! Let us know your favorites afterwards :).

And I enjoy the occasional beer, wine or single malt scotch (not at the same time!), and a night out on the town. But outside of Wine&Cheese, I find it odd and somewhat disappointing that behavior for some visiting EPCOT includes excessive drinking. Last week we saw more than a few large groups (wedding or pre wedding parties) drinking to excess with yelling, clear drunkenness, spilling of drinks, etc.... all the time among families and young kids in the park. Just seems the wrong type of fun in the wrong place and time, plus why at EPCOT and spend $8+ per drink, and not more party themed venues better suited and less expensive? I just do not get it, why have a bridal shower drinking at EPCOT?.

it's fun. you don't get it.

crazy question: has anybody tried to drink around the world/half the world for wine and food? now that would be a little crazy.

We did the whole round doing drinks from every country and desserts for my husband's birthday a few years ago. Also required was that our group of 6 get hat photos together in every country. We shared desserts, though. No way one person can do a full drink and dessert in every country and walk out of there without a wheelchair.

Ironically, it was finding hats in every country that proved the hardest! Italy and Great Britain, I'm looking at you.

Then, I'll just order a Moosehead, they have that at the America Pavilion right?

I find it very hard walking by the stand in France without ordering a lemon/vodka slushy. DD15 calls it our "booze snorkel". When she was younger she asked why we always got one and I said it helped me breathe in the crowds and heat. I looking forward to snorkel July 11, 12, and 14th next month.

I'm going to do this on our trip in two months. I'll share the drinks with my dh. Let's see....

Mexico - margarita
Canada - beer
Japan - sake
Germany - beer
France - champagne
Norway - beer
China - I think I'll skip this one
England - beer!
Italy - wine
