Best Thing you have done that was an Extra Cost Experiences like Dessert Parties, etc.

We've always gotten our money's worth out of the MVMCP and MNSSHP events. Always had a great time at both.

I would say that the best event that we've paid for has been the cooking seminars and the spirits tastings/demonstrations at the F&W Festival. The cooking seminars have always been great experiences and the spirits demonstrations have been a lot of fun as well.

I might be in the minority, but I liked the Wishes Dessert Party. Then again, it was New Year's Eve, and MK was PACKED! Having a little corner to get away from the crowds to ring out the year was worth it.

Great post! The only add ons we have done was the family photo shoot - got great pictures for my holiday Christmas card. And Bibbidy Bobbidy which my DD loves and is always worth it.

I did the Dive Quest at the Seas Pavilion. It was incredible... where else can you swim with fish, sharks, sting rays and turtles?

I don't do many extra cost things, except for maybe the occasional VIP tour. My wife does; however, and she (along with all of her friends) says Club Villain is the best thing there.

Our top 3:

3. MVMCP

2. Parasailing at Sammy Duvall's at the Contemporary boat dock.

1. Volunteering at Give Kids the World Village - a resort that hosts kids and their families from around the world for wish trips. For the price of a rental car or two taxi or Uber rides - priceless experience.
My daughter and I are planning to volunteer at Give Kids the World this in April. We've submitted our applications and let them know when we would be there. We've looked over the jobs available for her age group. Do you get to preference certain jobs (for instance we are super interested in crafting with the kids)?

Disney after hours hands down for me. We did it in February and will be attending again 3/2. Amazing to walk around MK with no crowds and ride whatever you want with no lines. We literally stayed on BTMRR 5 times in a row and could've continued to do so but we chose to go ride other rides.

I love MNSSHP and MVMCP but to me they're stressful events because there's so much going on and I feel like I'm trying to fit everything in lol.

Everything I've paid extra for I've ended up enjoying.

Magic Kingdom Early Morning Magic; had two fantastic CM interactions during this event that really made the event special
MNSSHP
MVMCP
Never, ever regretted a character meal. By far my favourite has been the Star Wars Galactic Dine Breakfast at Sci-Fi. Really miss that one.

Can't pick just one! My favorites are Wanyama safari, Club Villain and Harambe Nights. We also love Party For the Senses (Wine View Lounge), MNSSHP, and Wishes Dessert Party back when the price was reasonable.

My favorite extra thing we did over the years was the Wild Africa Trek. It is such a special experience and although I loved the Keys to The Kingdom Tour, you are in the most part in the midst of all the other guests. However, most of the Africa Trek are private. The highlights were the rope bridge and the lunch on the Savannah. I would like to do it again when my daughter is old enough.

Couldn't agree more. We also did the After Hours in February and was amazing. Hopefully they will continue to offer this into next year, as we will plan our next trip around one, if we can.

Keys to the Kingdom tour and Backstage Safari were awesome (Backstage Safari is something else now).

I think the parties are fun, but if on a tighter budget can easily be skipped. We are not big on shows or parades though.

For F&W festival the wine pairing meals are fun, but you can tell they try to skimp on the protein to save money. They don't skimp on the booze though!

We've only done a few extra cost items (not due to $) but the fact that we go so infrequently that we want to do all the regular stuff!

My absolute favorite has been Keys to the Kingdom tour; same for DS. I've been 2x and loved both.

I thought Undiscovered Epcot was a waste of time other than the reserved Illuminations seating which did me no good since I was leaving that day.

Upcoming trip we will do the Star Wars Dessert Party and I am still debating doing MK After Hours. For lasting only 2 hours it is frightfully expensive!

Is it possible that the party will be 3 hours long in late April instead of 2? Or will it just start after general closing and last just 2 hours regardless of the closing time?

It is 3 hours long now.
