Yes and because hey, hey, my, my, rock and roll, will never dieWhy are these quotes for stuff 20-30 years ago? Are any of them still living the dream?
Woo hoo!In and around the lake
Mountains come out of the sky and they stand there
Twenty four before my love and I'll be there
Ha, I’d like to say you’re right but I’m a good 12+ years older than you. Poison is a really bad example but guys like Tesla? Or The Red Hot Chili Peppers? They kept/keep it real. The first time I saw Tesla they didn’t have an opening act, hell the lights didn’t even go down. They just hit the stage and blew the place up. I grew up on some great music and I actually lean more towards my Dad’s stuff. More often than not you’ll find me listening to Elton John, The Eagles, The Steve Miller Band, Van Morrison to name a few.
And to stay on topic:
“I’m a joker, I’m a smoker, I’m a midnight toker...”
*Raises Hand* I was listening to Tumbleweed Connection just the other day.Yes and because hey, hey, my, my, rock and roll, will never die
Woo hoo!
Move yourself, you always live your life never thinking of the future.
Complete with yuppies running the streets.
How many remember Elton John's entrée to Nashville?
"...Burn down the mission if we're going to stay alive.."
I was listening to Tumbleweed Connection just the other day.
Elton John was God in my house growing up. We had a dog named EJ and a cat named Mellow (“ooh, you make me mellow”) I’m not a huge fan of his later pop stuff but albums like Tumbleweed Connection and Madman Across the Water are just pure genius to me. Been listening to them for decades and still pick up on things I never did before.A great piece of work for Elton. Where To Now St. Peter?
Stepped in to a church, I passed along the way
Well, I got down on my knees, and I pretend to pray
I'd be safe and warm
If I was in L.A.......
