Well I guess I’ll find out. Lol. No choice now, cruise is PIF. I’m pretty sure there’s not much the last couple weeks, but the idea of it seems bad to me, like I’m setting a bad example. Plus I’ll have to make sure he cleans out all his belongings that Friday when everybody else will be returning.

In our county, the grades are closed out the week before school ends so the last few days are a waste. Last year DS missed the last 2 days of 6th grade since it looked like we would be getting out of school early but then we had a fluke late winter storm in April and those 2 days went away but he just missed them.

The weather is wreaking havoc on DS's school schedule with it being the end of the quarter on Thursday and Fri the kids have off school so the teachers can close out the grades. He did a shadow day last Friday for the private school that he applied to for the fall and he missed a math and ELA exam. So he started to take the math exam yesterday but needs to still finish it. He still needs to take the ELA quiz. They have a 3 hour early dismissal today so their classes will be much shorter. I can only imagine that tomorrow will be a delayed start and he is supposed to have a science exam. And we fly out to MCO tomorrow afternoon so I don't know what will happen if he doesn't complete these exams by tomorrow. We are definitely not canceling our escape to warmer weather though!

The Barclays AAdvantage Aviator Red (personal) is back up to 60,000 AA Miles after first purchase + $95 AF. One of the better, easier ways to accumulate some AA miles. Hopefully, the biz version will follow suit soon - it's still showing 50k.

DH has a business trip to Detroit tomorrow/Wednesday. He wishes he didn’t have to go but no chance he’ll be able to get out of it. I’m also concerned about my son walking to his college classes (Dayton, Ohio) Weds and Thurs. Over the weekend I texted him to make sure he has plenty of warm things and buy some if not! My DS, DD and I have a trip to Nashville and Lexington, KY (college visits) planned for Weds night, Thursday and Friday, so if they cancel school Wednesday, we’re leaving early for sure! Just hope all our vehicles start. Gotta find some jumper cables just in case.

I'm annoyed at Amex. I got an email that my auto pay for my plat came out. $158. The only problem is that the $158 is from my airline incidental reimbursement. My account balance was $0! When I got on chat and pointed this out, I was told this:

"Checked the details here, I do see the Payment Due amount shows 0 on your online account, however there is a due balance of $158.00 which is now paid by the AutoPay and the credit of $158.00 will be applied towards your next statement."

So now they are giving me a credit of $158? WTH? Just put the money back in my checking. This has never happened before.

The airline credits on Amex are getting harder and harder to use.

And if anyone applied for the old offer within the last 30 days, ask for a match. I believe last few times they added the extra within a few weeks for those that asked.

Biz version shows 50k BUT it's 1k in spend now Hopefully this is a fluke and not a trend.

DH applied for CIP today. He got a “we are reviewing and will get back to you.”
Does he having anything to worry about? He has one other business card (SW business from chase), credit score over 800, and is at 3/24.
Anyone else who has gotten this message- how long does it take to get the response? (If he doesn’t get this one I want him to get the Marriott card in preparation for some larger purchases we have coming up.)

My P2 got the same message a few weeks ago with the CIP and when I called the next morning it was approved.

I LOVE that card! I would never want to downgrade it either! I really don't know why Chase stopped differentiating the Premier and Basic designs? The cards themselves are slightly different so I wonder if it actually saves them money? I wish there was a current WDW option. I'm not personally blown away by any of the current designs. I have Mickey & Pals. I'd prefer the image of Mickey & Pluto to be on the front. I bet a cute card would get people to use it more! If that design was still an option, I would be going to the Premier right now!!

I loved my premier card. I still mourn it. It was a pink card, the back of it had the backs of minnie and mickey sitting next to each other. When they discontinued the design, they sent me a new boring card with a different expiration date. That's when I downgraded back to the no AF card.

If anyone was looking, seems like southwest changed their next flight release to 1/31.

This is annoying for me as my southwest points won’t post until 2/1 so I’ll need to transfer from UR or risk loosing the cheap fares. The original date of 2/7 was so much better!

I actually noticed that the Biz Aviator changed to 50k with a $1,000 MSR (no longer 1 purchase) so that was a negative change unfortunately.

Heard from Marriott last night. They told me they see the free night as available. They specifically said the 25k free night.

I have a 35k free night from my SPG Biz in there that I can see.

Can I just reply to their answer? Or will it get kicked out? I know sometimes you can't actually reply to this stuff, it just goes to the internet black hole.

Thanks for posting this...we are going to Orlando the end of September....the original release date 2/7...said the flights were being opened until around 9/7....now they are opening them to 10/1

I’m not able to read a ton of posts since we are at wdw but I saw at home they aren’t having school Monday-Wednesday this week. Possibly missing more school but not sure yet. I’m pretty sure they tack most of these days onto the end of the year which will be horrible at the school I sub at (no a/c at the school)

Another positive DP about the (1) $200 AA gc getting credited - this time on my Biz Plat. I tested it out with DH's Biz Plat first and when that credit showed up on Friday, I bought a $200 AA gc with mine, and my credit showed up today (4 days from purchase).
