Stroller rules to be enforced

We saw one like this when we were there on spring break
Cinderella-Carriage-Strollers-Disney-World.jpg

It was super cute but enormous.
While I was typing! My guess is that might be the target as they look HUGE.

Yeah that is beyond ridiculous

Yeah, I approve of those for any little princess on a make a wish trip. All other times refuse them at the gates.

Edit- I will say the wording from Disney on this is crucial. They aren't making a new rule, just going to enforce it. That way the companies that made these aren't filing suit for damages.

Offhand I can't think of any strollers that don't really fit in the limits. Maybe the largest of double jogging strollers where the wheel sticks out a lot. I'm guessing the target may be the wagons (which do push and fit in the size limits) or maybe those Cinderella Coach strollers? They look pretty big.

Aren't there ones that are 3 seats wide? I seem to remember seeing a couple of those last time at WDW.

The wagons need to go. Period. The end.
:thumbsup2 Push, pull, etc, shouldn’t matter, they are too big. I can’t even see how the whole push/pull thing became part of the rule. Pushing a wagon towards people when you clearly are feet behind being able to see peoples feet or whats in front of you seems a lot more dangerous than pulling behind you:confused3 We saw a TON of these this past week. More than once there was only one kid in it too.

I actually just bought my grandson an umbrella stroller to use in the parks because his regular stroller (the one that you can attach the carrier to) is a lot harder to maneuver in those crowds now. And Ive been rammed by quite a few of the larger strollers with people not being aware of how big they actually are and misjudging the distance to the back of my ankles.

I'm all for them enforcing this rule.

View attachment 390711 I’m thinking about bringing one of these next time. The folded dimensions are: Closed:
W: 31.5" L: 13.5" H: 35" so I think it should be within the limits. Will be great for a long day in MK.

and please bring that with you and wait for the parade and then unfold it shortly before the parade starts so that you and your entire group can be comfortable! ;)

8yr olds need a stroller?
every child is different. Mine are 6 and 7, last year we averaged 10-12 miles a day. that's a lot of walking, so i can see how an 8 year old could use one every now and then.

We rented a double stroller last year, and it got used. Both kids walked a lot also, but at times with the heat and the distances, why bother fighting them?

My DD has 2 double strollers, a BOB, which is fantastic, but wayyyy too big to bring with us. I bought her a Delta LX side by side umbrella, it folds slightly bigger than the size of a regular, and was better than we thought to handle. Very good double, and we bought an extension canopy, and an add on storage basket.
I recommend to those with smaller children! (She has 2 yr old and a 9 month old, they slept fine in it even)

My 7 yr old walked the entire trip last week, his first real week of Disney walking (Been shorter trips since we retired the stroller) We averaged 10 miles a day, and he only complained at first, then he got used to it. :)

We actually saw those wagon strollers, and discussed how great they were for storage and room, BUT they do seem a bit big. As I said earlier, there were sooo many this trip, it wouldn't surprise me if that is what Disney is curbing.

I was shoveling the driveway and mowing the grass at age 8.

We couldn't keep up to my son at age 8....LOL.

My dad, Elias Disney, he owned a
newspaper delivery route there.
Thousand papers. Twice daily.
Morning and evening edition. Elias,
he was a tough businessman. A save-
a-penny anywhere you can type of
fella so he wouldn't employ any
delivery boys, he just used me and
my big brother Roy. I was eight
then-- eight years old.

And the cold and the wet would be
seeping through the shoes and the
skin would be raw and peeling from
our faces-- and sometimes I'd find
myself sunk down in the snow,
waking up, cuz I must've passed out
for a moment-- I dunno. Then
school, too cold to figure out an
equation. And back into the snow so
by the time we got home it'd be
just getting dark, and every part
of you would sting like crazy as it
slowly came back to life in the
warmth. My mother would feed us
dinner and then it'd be time to go
out again for the evening edition.
