Yes, I tried to make a change to DH and it wouldn't let me. Said I have to call due to the minor traveling with him. Then I tried to change DS's first and got the same message.
So I think it just clicked in my head that this works with newly booked flights too??? I was thinking only if you have a flight already booked. So if new ones work, then yes I could rebook them and then move them. What date windows are open for this now?
Oooh that might be a "feature" of the new SW booking system. I've been doing the "add 10 years to the age" thing since before they converted to the new system, lol! They used to "link" them but it actually meant nothing and you could totally change them after you booked haha! I'm honestly not sure of what dates are involved right now - it seems like Early through Mid-December and 14 days on either side of that if you play the game the right way.

I tried googling dates and no luck. Heading out to DHS now, so will try to play with it more later tonight. Thanks!

Has anyone used a Centurion Lounge (esp PHL) right when they open in the morning, before the breakfast service begins at 6? I'm wondering if there is any grab-and-go food out at 5am.

I'm flying out at 6:15 and dh is flying out at 6:05 the same day later this month. It would be great if we could grab some food there.

I wouldn't even know when to board on another airline lol Give me my B group and 2 free bags any day lol

I do realize if I'm going to ever visit another country I'm going to have to come to terms with this. Why can't SW just fly everywhere?!
You can visit another country with SW, it just needs to be in the Caribbean or close to it :)

Oh MMMMYYY!
No creamy, cheesy grits, with bacon crumbled on top? Well, more for me then!

Lactose intolerance and don't eat pork so you are so welcome to have mine...sharing is important!

Is there really such a thing (person?) as St Pancreas? I just skimmed the last four pages, and that’s all I can think about...
Patron saint of soda drinkers? :rotfl2:

LOL- I always revert to my prior life, misspell the name and make him an internal organ...he'd definitely be the Patron Saint of Alcoholics though...:rotfl:

The offer is the same as recent highs on the card according to DoC fwiw. If Marriott points of interest I’d consider it.
It’s not a bad way to start earning some Marriott points. 100k Marriott points for $5k MSR is the highest offer on the Bonvoy/SPG Biz since the merger (although the 75k Marriott points for $3k MSR offer comes with lower spend). The Biz also has the benefit of earning 4x Marriott on gas, dining, and wireless telephone services (but you may not want to switch your cell phone bill from the CIP and lose the insurance protection). The rest of the benefits are snoozers; you already get Marriott Gold Elite status, for whatever it’s worth, through your Platinum, which is > than the Silver status offered by this card. But, remember the survey I took, Amex may be considering changes to the benefits on this card that might make it worthwhile to spend on. Unfortunately, the AF is now $125 and not waived, and you’ll need to renew a second year if you want that 35k FN cert, again for whatever it’s worth after peak pricing kicks in this month.

Since this is a public offer, it should be available via support link — if not already, then soon. But since this is also a new, elevated campaign, the Amex pop up may be all over this card like it was for the Hilton Biz and Surpass recently, particularly if applying via support link. You may want to keep that email handy in case you have more luck with applying through that channel.
From what I can see - this is ALREADY available via support link. If you have a link on DISchurners - might want to consider updating it if yours does not reflect this offer.

A small detail here to not overlook... 0% introductory APR on purchases for 6 months. Since this is a biz card it won't affect your utilization either so if the $5k MSR seems steep, you could prepay some things or find ways to meet the MSR ahead and then just float the balance for 6 months.

Obligatory reminders:
  • Do not buy stuff you don't need to hit a MSR
  • Do not spend money you don't have to hit a MSR
  • Do not pay interest to earn points
:D Happy churning all! Good luck - this seems like a decent offer for an Amex Biz card. Also keep in mind how to keep the RAT happy and don't just get this card hit the MSR and "sock-drawer" it!

EDIT: reminder also to not self-support with Amex, Much Like Liam Neeson in Taken...If you self-support: the RAT will look for you, They will find you... and They will kill you!
Thank you all for the information! I honestly don't foresee any need for Marriott points in the near future so it may be best to avoid the shiny object in front of me and accumulate something more diverse like MRs or AA miles for WDW.

Couldn't you do the cancel trick to get the voucher for $2100 and pay the last little bit outright?
I could, but even though I have honestly read EVERY single post on here about Delta since the promo came out (all the FOMO, especially because I have SkyClub access with the Plat) I don't feel confident I would do it right or end up with the best return with what I have. I think I may have to sit this one out 🙁

My mom left 2 dogs at the vet a few years ago for boarding and came back to only 1! They didn't tell her until she picked up. Maybe that was for the best, because there is nothing you can do while you are on vacation but be extremely sad. They said it happened overnight, that she just was gone (not missing gone) when they came in that morning. I feel there is more to the story than that, but my mom didn't pursue further. The dog was older, but had no issues prior. Both of those dogs are now gone, but she has another that she gets nervous leaving now and he is young still. I have a friend whose little dog was attacked by a big dog while at a boarding facility and didn't make it. It was heartbreaking. Now that I depressed everyone......... Back to CC news.
Oh my, I am so sorry to hear that!!

LOL yes, that one! Thank you ☺
You know us childless millennials, we just want to watch the world burn.

Or something.
Some people are selfish fools.
Same here, I asked for an AU card for DD16, but apparently you do have to be 18 for a biz card AU. :guilty:
I think it might be because they are “employees” not AU. So you have to be 18 to be an employee but 13 (I think) to be an AU.
Thanks! Yes, DS is totally into Harry Potter that is why we have USF APs :)
Lol. I was so confused too. I knew they were talking about Southwest then doubted it after the 2nd WN.
I’m confused with all the abbreviations. Is “USF” Universal Studios Orlando? I thought there was USO and USH? And how is SW “WN.” Is it an airline code?

I’m tired today. For a 4 day week, this one is kicking my butt.

Soooo I am miles behind as usual... but IF I wanted to accumulate more American Airlines miles, I see there is a Barclay biz card for that. I did search here for "Barclay" and I see that they have no app and their website is... less than optimal.

Barring that, if I really wanted AA miles and Citi Biz #2 is not an option because of all the updated language, is this Barclay biz something I should consider? I'm not giving up on Chase URs... merely doing some preliminary research.

And just like that, my last baby is a teenager. ❤ She actually turns 13 tomorrow. And also one of my big issues with planning vacations right now. Does anyone else stop traveling when you have an elderly pet? She doesn’t get around very well, so I don’t want to board her. I have no family close by to watch. Our last few pet sitters have gone off to college. I honestly thought she was not going to make it for us to get back from Yellowstone in July, I was having horrible guilt feelings for thinking DD was going to have to deal with it by herself while we were gone. But she is doing much better now. Sometimes feeling too well, I let her out yesterday and heard my neighbor say Good morning Cujo after she barked her head off at him. She is a cranky old lady, and doesn’t really like new people so I would not feel comfortable leaving her with just anyone.
Aww. I feel you. We have a 15 or 16 yo dog (not sure because she was adopted as an adult dog, but we’ve had her 14 years.) I booked a short trip in September but then found out my sister is having floors refinished and staying at a hotel and my mom is watching one of her dogs. So that takes out our 2 dog sitters. I ended up canceling the trip because our dog is old and crotchety with an immune disease, and she gets picky about eating sometimes. I make food for her or coax her to eat but I doubt they’d do that almost anywhere I would board her. (Our other dog is a puppy and would be happy to stay and play with new people)

I don’t suppose Amex will match their new 100k offer for me would they? I don’t even have my new card yet and I signed up for the 75k SUB offer.

looking for some info on what cards can be triple dipped and the advantages of each. trying to plan what card to get to do that christmas shopping on. i'm thinking they are all AX cards? Platimums ? hilton?

been missing the forums for a few months, life got it the way, mom broke her leg. dad had eye surgery, daughterinlaw in hospital for abcess, grandkids living with us for summer as their mother trys to straighten out some of her life, or not.

fomo on the delta/mr thing but i have neither, so have to let that one go.

Sadly, Amex does not match offers; and since Amex’s welcome offers are generally once per product, per lifetime, we always emphasize signing up only when a card’s SUB is at its best and highest.

If you only recently signed up for the Bonvoy Biz, you could call Amex customer service at the number on the back of your card and express your extreme dissatisfaction at missing out on the higher offer and Amex may give you some “courtesy points.”

Instead of updating my link I just added the new offer. The old 75k/$3K still works as well.

I don't see that the AF is waived the first year as it previously was...
