My husband has said no to any future cruises. This is the 2nd cruise we have booked and had to cancel due to National emergency. We've decided if we book a cruise we open the fires of hell upon us so we might as well not do it, (said tongue in cheek). We are just better off doing land trips.
This is now us also. Well, not the gates of hell thing lol. Neither DH or I want to take our planned fall cruise anymore. I'm willing to cancel it and lose all my points if needed. I'm just waiting to get info on how to proceed after phone waits calm down (I hope) I paid using UR 100%,and i have no idea if it's an early saver booking (no refunds, just cruise credits) or otherwise at this point, and I bought 'cancel for any reason' insurance. Anyone know how that works if paid with UR? Argh. And I was so excited a few months ago to book this.

We have a nintendo switch. It does have active games that remind me of the Wii. What we like about it is that you can use it as a console with your tv, or you can use it handheld. It's handy that way when DS is playing a game and we want to use the TV, then he can just use it in handheld mode and keep playing. That's the regular nintendo switch. There is also a nintendo switch lite which is handheld only.
We actually were considering getting a switch but last time I looked at Target, amazon, and Best Buy they were all sold out

Totally OT, but I’m thinking of getting a gaming system since we’re stuck in the house. DS plays games on his iPad but I’m looking for something that has 2 player games. DS loves Minecraft and any sports (NFL, NHL, soccer). Not interested in Call of Duty, Fortnite or anything similar. Do all systems play pretty much the same games? Major differences between say PS and Xbox? Other options? Is my regular TV good enough (it’s not big) or do you need something bigger and fancier? Also are there any games that incorporate physical activity? (I’m thinking like the old Wii)
We got a Nintendo Switch over the winter and LOVE it! Have not run out of fun games to play. So far we love mario kart, super mario odyssey, zelda breath of the wild, super smash bros., and all pokemon games. Love being able to take it with us and use the handheld. Or sometimes I'll play the handheld while DH is watching TV. We just have a Samsung 40" HD TV that is like 5+ years old, and it works great. Highly recommend! We also have a PS3 that NEVER gets played. Not enough "family" games for us. We don't do many shooters/violent stuff.

How long does it usually take for a new chase card to show up in your online account? I used the same email in my app as I use for my online account, so I’m assuming it will show up in there without me having to manually add it.

Mine appear almost immediately.

@CyndiLouWho Daughter already has one and I was also going to suggest it. But I checked a couple of online outlets and couldn't find one either. It's a system that even I can donate a few minutes to!

Daughter has explained that there is a reason for the lack of switches: There was a game cube game called Animal Crossing which many people her age group played and loved in their childhood. She's 27 and 18 years later this happened. She was 9 when she got the gamecube. We got the Switch when ToysRUs were closing the doors.

Recently They re - released Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Switch, on March 20th. Needless to say she bought it as she is up on that stuff. And, anyone who didn't have a Switch, ran out and bought them all up due to the release of this game. Nintendo site has none.

I can’t believe I’m even considering it. I will for sure need to put limits on it, like weekends only when school is in session. Otherwise DS would play 24/7. But seriously months more of shelter in place likely and I’m bored already. Reading and going outside only goes so far. Looking for stuff we can play together.
I was texting with the moms of my sons closest friends, and we all agreed that as much as we don’t love our boys playing video games all the time it has been a necessary evil to keep our own sanity. DS does have screen time limits for sure, but we have relaxed his evening limits because sadly it’s the only time he gets to “play” with his friends. My son refers to it as his “recess time” they all have headphones so they can talk and play with each other. It’s actually quite heartbreaking that it’s the closest they can get to each other. At this point my son would gladly give up Xbox time if it meant he could see his friends in person 😕

I see that TPG had (an improperly headlined clickbait) article about the SCR reduction.... I'm assuming it's their attempt to get people to hold onto it rather than PC or cancel since all this craziness started....I know I'm rethinking my priorities going forward.... It's basically rolling back the extra $100 for those that have the upcoming due dates....so it's the same price it was before.

I have 2 future cruises booked on UR's also. Earliest one is in December - so hoping we are still able to go on that one. Other one is next May. The cancellation would be based on the cruiselines policy. So, say you paid for it all with UR;s but the non-refundable deposit was $50 per person - then you would get that $ in a Future Cruise Credit - the rest you should be back in UR's if you are within the cancellation period. (That is how I understand it). What cruiseline is it?

Right now DS is on google chat while playing Minecraft with his cousin. He has little interest n seeing his classmates from school, but misses his cousins (twins the same age and grade)

Any Ozark fans out there? I'm watching the third season it's really good. If you haven't watched it. It's a great binge watch if you're bored.

I was so excited to see Season 3 available. I've watched 5 episodes so far. So good!!!

I also cannot generate a new referral link this morning, but my previously generated P2 referral link still works, and I just finished my application.

There has been some talk that credit card issuers may decrease approvals during this economic slowdown, even for those with good credit. I'm encouraged by @calypso726's approval yesterday. I guess I will be calling that approval line frequently.

I applied DH for the United Explorer Card with the 60k miles welcome offer this morning. Instant approval and I see the card in his online Chase account!! MSR is going to be tougher to meet than with past cards since we are spending so little right now, but I'll find a way :) With DD going to university in Edinburgh starting this Fall, we are going to be flying United a lot since right now they are our only one-stop option from Boise (thru Chicago) without having to do a re-positioning flight first. A one-stop from Boise all the way to Edinburgh is huge for us. I wanted DH to have his own United card so we can start using his miles and still be able to get the fares/awards that are for MileagePlus card holders only. We've always ended up booking out of my account since I was the only card holder and the only one who had these fares pop up in searches. When DD turns 18 later this year, she's the next get one since she also has a stockpile of United miles that we need to start using....

Ok one more off topic question. DH and I decided on Xbox one S which we can pick up from BestBuy today. Is there any need for a 3rd controller, do any games allow 3 players?

Checked my Amex cards after @miztressuz posted and found Happy Guy on 2 cards that I was able to add. Also the Best Buy 1 point, added it to my no fee MR card along with the Lowes 1 point.

Also, I had $25 off $100 on several cards so added it to 2 for White House Black Market. In the past this has credited by buying a gift card online, and then I was able to use the gift cards at outlets stores. Hopefully the same thing will happen. I'll start with one gift card but not until closer to expiry as I'd hate to hear a retailer went under and that I was holding gift cards.

And Lowes 1 additional point does me little good. I have a Lowes card so if I don't have a better option I would use that instead of a 1 MR extra card.

I agree with pillow, my CIP showed up automatically in my Chase account around 24 hours from my application.

I would definitely recommend 2 controllers, 3 or more would only be necessary if you anticipate having that many people playing at once.
