Has anyone received their refund yet?

I submitted the Costco form 3/15 and received a cancellation confirmation on 3/16 confirming the 125% credit we selected. Interestingly, it looks like they just gave us a refund instead on our credit card, posted 4/1, despite asking for the credit.

While not DCL, cancelled my July med cruise 2 days before PIF on NCL. Called today and advised it could take up to 90 days due to the amount of cancellations. Accounting is backed up.

Cancelled with Costco on 3/19, still no sign of my refund and I was supposed to be cruising right now. It should be illegal to not have given your $ back by embarkation day. Also hearing about others cancelling later and getting their $ back already. I have tried to be patient but I am now officially p*%%^* off.

I don't know what travel insurance you bought but I used Travel Insured and they are refunding full price if you show the confirmation letter from Disney showing they cancelled your cruise...
But you can't get reimbursement from your travel insurance AND the cruise line (that includes a refund and FCC)

I did the Costco form 3/19 and received confirmation 3/20. I first saw some refund amounts today even though they have posted dates of 4/3 and 4/4, but didn’t show up online those days. I’m still about $1100 short of my full refund though.

ETA: I received at least 6 different refund transactions, even though I only paid in two transactions total (deposit and balance.)

No, what I mean is that they are refunding full price of the travel insurance price. If you are getting 100% refund from Disney why would you need to make a claim with your travel insurance also? I thought the point of the original question was what my concerns were in that you would lose the $100s of dollars you paid on travel insurance even if you get the 100% refund from Disney when they cancel your cruise. With Travel Insured through USAA at least, that is not the case.

I misunderstood. Sorry. Thank you for clarifying

FYI
I canceled a Princess Cruise 3/11/20 and have yet to receive a refund.

Still no refund for our 4/5 cruise (requested refund 3/19) but today we received part of the deposit back for our Feb 2021 cruise (cancelled 4/1). So it seems like if you only put a deposit down you will get your $ back much faster than if you cancelled a PIF cruise.

Thats messed up but thanks for the datapoints!

Yes the deposits seem to be coming back much more quickly. I got a few more credits back but I’m still $252 short of the total. The amounts started trickling in on the 3rd. It’s weird and annoying. Why so many payments?? I paid twice - deposit and balance. Grrrrr.

We re-scheduled our cancelled 4/18 cruise for next February. We received a full refund for our ground transfers, port fees/taxes, Hyatt for the night before and vacation protection, Monday. We re-booked on the 31st. We also received credit back on two gift cards we used for on board credit. Turn around was great and complete.

We opted for the refund on our April Wonder cruise. Completed the Costco cancellation form on 4/6. Received the refund of the taxes and fees today. Now waiting for the rest.

How did you know it was the taxes and fees? We have so far received 6 refunds and they still don't add up to the total paid - about $250 short still. Why so many transactions? I only paid twice.

We had booked after the PIF date, so we only made a single payment and I was just trying to figure out what the amounts were for. There were two refunds and I added them up. When I checked that amount against our original reservation, it matched the total taxes and fees. Maybe it's just a coincidence? It's hard to know for sure. And we had two ports on our cruise, so I'm guessing that's why there were two refunds, but again, it's just a guess.

I‘m getting refunds on the two Hawaii cruises and can now see 13 separate credits pending on my cc...and they don’t add up to the total...yet.
the only ones I can actually identify/match up are the two Dcl transfer payments. What a mess!

I cancelled back in feb due to my moms failing health--I got a refund for everything but the deposit which I knew going in-the refund came really fast----I had turned in the deposit to the insurance since my moms health was a covered reason--so about a week or so ago I got an email from the TA that our cruise was cancelled and when I checked with her to see about the refund of deposit she said that would coming from Disney--but it was strange how the refund of the cruise was listed on the CC--it was for 3 separate amounts which did total the amount but one them was for the exact amount of the deposit--asked TA about the amounts since I didn't want any issues with the insurance which doesn't matter since now were getting the money back from Disney--this is such a mess--just looking forward to getting all my money refunded--now I just have to deal with the airlines and their voucher policy

We have received the complete refund for our Vancouver to Hawaii cruise. Five payments total. The first one was for the port fees, etc. plus prepaid gratuities. When that refund arrived yesterday, I had to track down the amount of a refund we had received back in December due to a reduction in the port fees before I could reconcile the amount and figure out how much we were stilled owed. Today, we got four more refunds posted to the credit card. One corresponded to the cruise fare for one passenger. Then three more that totaled to that same amount for the second passenger, so everything has arrived. I suspect it gets more complicated if there are additional passengers in the stateroom. Eight days since I requested the refund after the cancellation email.
