Man oh man! I just looked on Disney Parks Shop app for Peter Pan items to wear with my costume and they're sold out of everything I was interested in! Boo! :(

 Disney, you should add a feature allowing us to "filter" Sold Out items too and not just "Hide Products that are in-store only". o_O

How early would you recommend getting an outside table at Plaza Icecream?

I know views for the parade will be limited, but at least I could be somewhat comfortable!
We we’re sitting at these tables for a normal daytime parade in Jan. (Not trying to see the parade, just happened to be there at the right time.)

Just a heads up that you will see very little of the parade except the tops of some of the floats. Between crowds and the umbrellas over the tables and your view is slim to none.

Thanks for the confirmation. I don't think anyone has posted their experience before and this is exactly what I thought would happen. Welcome back on the itinerary thread too!

Interesting. I wonder if the kid that rides with the first parent can get the entitlement and still ride with the 2nd parent? Guess time will tell!

I tweaked my itinerary to make a few changes. I'm now watching the parade from Liberty Square and the fireworks from Plaza Ice Cream or Casey's Corner.

Hi we are celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary with our trip and we are going to September 3rd and 7th parties. We are so excited it will be our first MNSSHP! Hubby will wear Haunted Mansion t-shirt and I am wearing orange ears with black webbing, spiders, and word Boo and an orange t -shirt with Mickey dressed as a mummy carrying a pumpkin treat bucket. For the second party will wear Halloween t-shirts we purchase at first party.

So the first step in planning an itinerary is picking a date. Well I can't even decide that!

Here's what I know for sure. It's five of us- 2 adults, 3 kids (they'll be 10, 8 and 4.)

We are (un?)fortunately going over Columbus Day weekend - in part because Friday October 5th will be my 40th birthday.

I don't want to do the party on my birthday because I want to do SWAGS dessert party at HS instead. And the 5th is a high price night.

Do we choose the party on the night of Columbus Day - Monday, October 8th, or go for Tuesday, October 9th? (They're both the same price.)

Sunday is our resort/pool day. Monday we have planned a morning at Animal Kingdom, leaving after a lunch at Tusker House, then having a pool afternoon and resting up for the party. Tuesday we have a PPO at Hollywood & Vine and are making that our Star Wars day at HS. We don't have any plans for that evening. Wednesday is our last park day and we have a 10:30 reservation at Crystal Palace. We're planning on closing down the park that night so I don't know if we'll try to rope drop and rest in the afternoon.

So, that's a really long way to say - which party would you chose?

Has anyone else checked out Disney Food Blog regarding the Happy HalloWishes Dessert parties?

I specifically asked if they were able to confirm whether or not the Plaza included the BTY parade because they said they would "Update the article accordingly".

Here's DFB Sarah's response:
"Views of the Boo to You parade are not included in the Happy HalloWishes Dessert Party. You may catch sight of the tops of some larger floats, but the view won’t be great."

My second reply:
To DFB "Sarah" your comment is confusing. The article written by AJ sates there are TWO Happy HalloWishes Dessert parties during MNSSHP.

Happy HalloWishes Dessert Premium Package at the Terrace AND includes a reserved standing viewing area for the Boo-To-You Parade.

Happy HalloWishes Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing with Please note: we are currently trying to confirm whether a reserved standing viewing area for the Boo-To-You Parade is included in the Plaza Garden Viewing package, and we will update this post accordingly.

Are you saying neither dessert parties include the Boo-To-You parade? If this has been confirmed by Disney, why hasn't the article been updated?

Am I missing something? :confused3

Woof! Kenny the Pirate crowd calendars state "Insane Crowds" during Columbus Day weekend and I believe it. Last year many posted how busy the parks were including the Halloween Parties.

Then we have Touring Plans who ranks Monday, October 08, 2018 #28 and Tuesday, October 09, 2018 #15. Based on their ride predictions and NOT crowds, I would plan on attending the party on the 9th. Again, take this with a grain of salt.

And according to the MNSSHP Guest List Thread, which many have not checked-in, both parties should be a breeze. o_O

Personally, I would do the 9th.

After reading this entire thread and so much online elsewhere, I've overwhelmed myself a bit. I apologize if I forgot something and/or ask a redundant question. This thread has been amazing! I appreciate anyone's feedback.

When: Thursday, October 4th
Who: Myself, Nephew (12), and Niece (10)

The morning will be spent at EPCOT with the rest of our group. (not attending the party)
We'll take naps after lunch that afternoon.

3:30-4:15:: arrive at MK (bypass?) and get bands -- question here: Would you recommend us arriving before the 4 o'clock rush and getting our bands inside at another location?

4:15-5:30: Jack and Sally (our only must do characters) -- Get our spot in line then I'll grab Specialty Treats to be enjoyed while we wait.

5:30-6:00: Hopefully have an FP+ secured here after using 3 previously at EPCOT.

6:00-9:30: I'm really allowing the kids to make the shots this night. We plan on focusing on rides and jumping in character lines if we pass and they are doable. (30 minutes or less... I know that may not be realistic but that's okay if it does not happen) Same with trick or treating. No line? Swing by. Otherwise, we plan on doing this later in the evening as I've seen recommended.

The main entertainment is where I get caught up and talk myself in circles and I'm a bit lost. I have questions.

9:30-10:30: Hallowishes near hub or Casey's/Plaza ... we'd like to get a good view of this. But if I'm needing to get there by at least 9:30, should I not just go ahead and do the first parade? Everyone says the second parade is less crowded. And I love the idea of watching in Frontierland so we don't have to wait so long for the parade to reach us. While the waiting is happening for things, I'm sure more fooding will occur. I'll keep in mind that Specialty Treats sell out early and see what the kids want to have.

Adding to the above, the Hocus Pocus at 10:45 (historically) is almost just after Hallowishes. And if we watched HP then, we would have to stay put for the second parade on Main Street. (not enough time to get good seats elsewhere at that point)

However, if we do the first parade (because you need to get to Main Street early for Hallowishes anyway) should we just also do the first HP show at 8:15? This madness is where I would LOVE help. Basically, I'd love to do all three of these things (fireworks, parade, HP show) with the smallest amount of "waiting" required and making the most of efficient "late night" party hours when supposedly so many go home after Hallowishes.

10:30-11:35: Boo to You Parade in Frontierland... maybe Liberty Square?

11:35-12:00: Last minute decisions (rides, characters, trick or treating).

12:00: Hocus Pocus Show

We're not worried about magic shots. I'd like to grab a SotMK card, but it's not vital. We've never actually played. If I wanted to grab one, does anyone have a suggestion on when I should make that happen?

I feel like I'm so needy. Apologies! And thank you again so much for this thread and any assistance.
