"crabby" employees better than stupid or lazy

When we checked into BCV (our home resort) last March 16 at 10 pm, our studio had not been cleaned, beds were not made, etc. Whether or not this original thread is true, this problem seems to be happening to more and more people. I hope we aren't so "lucky" when we arrive Sept 29 at OKW!!

I would actually pay extra for a room with a poster of a naked woman.
My husband would probably pay extra for a room that's already stocked with beer (as long as it's GOOD beer).

Wouldn't it depend on the woman? lol (and I am disappointed in you - I thought the free beer would be first on your list)

I think this could happen anywhere. Obviously, the lady got a room that had been marked as cleaned and wasn't. Yes, OKW and SSR share housekeeping management (you have to tell them which one you are in when you call...would seem like they would have used differing room numbering systems if they were going to combine services - which works for me if it keeps cost down for us all). I think example #2 of the room taking so long to clean was too many people waiting around for someone else to make a decision. Shouldn't have worked that way either.

Love the threat about sending it to the NY Times Travel guy. Maybe he can get you back money or whatever it is that you want out of this. If you really have pictures you want to share go to Imageshack.us and you can upload them there and paste the link here (simple site to use).

She didn't specifically say it was Yuengling. I'm not as picky about women.

I believe there might be a life motto in that last statement :teeth:

The beer was BudLite- we wouldn't touch it.
The reason I want to bring this to someone's attention at OKW (I'm not looking for anything back) is because this was a cleaned room. The beds were made, there were 8 sets of clean towels, garbage was emptied, and there was even a small towel animal with a housekeeping card on the little shelf in the entryway. This room looked like it was used AFTER it was cleaned. By whom? And then vacated in a hurray when we checked in at 8:30. I thought management should see this. Its not the room that bothered me but rather the total indifference on everyone's part (except the poor intern) that "Ed" thought this was simply business as usual. And that the resort manager never did contact us. Or reply to e mail.
As far as the incident with the tip, we gave a thirteen dollar tip (15%) for poor service. We did not charge to Disney but used an Amex check card. When there was a discrepancy in the balance DH contacted AmEx and reviewed the charges. Were it not for the Ohana charge causing the balance to be off by almost one hundred dollars we never would have noticed the 23 dollar tip.
I have stayed in all DVC resorts before (including OKW) and had nothing but good experiences. I posted on this board hoping that someone could give me a name or address of someone at DVC that might be interested. There were two other incidents at OKWthat I didn't bother to mention- just annoyances.
To the poster who thinks finding pornography in a hotel room is gratifing- I hope his children find something similar on his vacation, the way mine did this time.

Again hun, I believe that what you got was a room that was marked cleaned (by mistake). It might have even been "cleaned" a day or two before you checked in, so it was sitting in inventory, but it definately sounds to me like the housekeeper started the job and was called away. Or perhaps they saw the condition of the things in the room that like you really bothered them, so they reported it and were told to leave it for the housekeeping manager, and a mistake was made somewhere along the line and the room was marked clean.

Are you a DVC member that stayed on points or did you pay cash? If you are a DVC member, then go to the DVC website and you can contact them from there or you can call MS directly and find out who would be best to call. If you rented your room through CRO, it probably would be best to gripe to WDW about it. Different entities (as you probably understand if you have taken multiple trips).

Your concerns would have best been handled with a face to face meeting with Ed or Ed's boss on Monday if he was off on Sunday. Once you are home, you probably will simply get the "acknowledgement" email back that won't give you any satisfation either.

I actually find it hard to believe (not saying you are lying - saying bad management decision if it was true) that there are no managers there on Sunday mornings. That is probably one of the busiest check in days for DVCers.

I just realized that I DON'T agree that crabby employees are better than stupid or lazy. Crabby employees are making an effort to ruin your day. Stupid and lazy are just stupid and lazy.

But the very worst are passive aggressive employees. That's crabby with the appearance of stupid and lazy added in.

I'm not sure how to post a photo to this board. If you tell me how I will.
OK, if this is legit and you're not trolling, then do this:

Using your regular e-mail account, send me a few of the photos as a regular attachment. Send to Caskbill@wdwinfo.com

If the photos are legit, I will post them for you. If the 'pinup' is visible in any of the photos, I will blur it out before posting.

Keep in mind that DVC does monitor these boards. If what you said is true, then seeing is believing, and it WILL get their attention.

I thought it was pretty clear that I was joking. Sorry if you took it the wrong way. Didn't mean to minimize your situation.
