Hello! My family (me, husband, 3 and 5 yo sons, baby daughter) are heading to the park from Nov. 5-Nov. 8, staying at the PPH. Husband and I lived in SoCal years ago and had season passes in 2011-2012, but this will be our first time going with our kids, and our first time spending more than one day in the park!
I’ve been lurking/doing searches here for a while and have figured out most of what I need to know for our upcoming trip (love this board!), but there are a few things I can’t quite figure out.
- Our older kids are really looking forward to It’s a Small World, but from what I gather, it will be getting its overlay and will only be open the last day we’re there (Friday, the first day of the holiday season). We don’t have park hopper tickets and were planning to be in DCA this day since that’s when they have EMH (although sometimes that changes, I guess?). I think our best bet would be to upgrade our single park pass to a park hopper for that one day, but how do we do that? At the ticket window the day of?
- Am I right that it’s unlikely that there will be fireworks on any of the nights we’re there, since it’s an off time and we only have weekdays? Does that apply to Fantasmic and WOC, too? This trip is for our 10th anniversary, so I was hoping to surprise my husband with a dessert party or other reservation and a babysitter for one night—hopefully there’s something fun available!
- Our 3-yo is currently about 38.5” with shoes on. We’re hoping he has a growth spurt in the next few months to get him to that magical 40” number, but barring that, any tips or tricks there? Are they 100% sticklers about height in the park, or would they give us a break if he’s .5” under?
Thank you in advance for any help!
