My dates were: July 8-22
I am keeping my dates
My original resort was: ASSp preferred room
I originally booked using fun n sun discount
I am being moved to: SSR deluxe studios
My cost increase/decrease is: none
I made my original reservation myself
I wasn’t contacted
There are #2 adults, #2 (14 year olds), # 0 under age 3 in my party

I didn't receive an email, but decided to call after there were reports of people in the same date range being modified.

They couldn't do anything at the time, but said they would call me back. The called back in less than 24 hours. They offered Saratoga Spring Deluxe studio. I asked about the bed configuration and if it was possible to get something that had two actual beds instead of a bed and a pull out couch. She said she couldn't make that change but that she would send it to a guest service specialist and they would call me back in 48-72 hours.

The CM was super nice and friendly. She even adjust my room rate down $10/night to account for the difference in the parking fee from value to Deluxe.

Hopefully someone calls back and I'm able to get two beds....I don't really think it'll happen though. We'll see.

I didn't think they were modifying for guests who were there after the 11th, I wasn't able to when my TA called yesterday. Were you able to keep your park tickets???

They wouldn't do it then, but did have someone call me back. We are AP holders so those are still in tact. I'm not sure why some are able to modify and some aren't?

It's too bad they couldn't give you OKW, where I believe the studios have 2 queens. :/

Yeah, I have 2 14 year old (turning 15 on the trip) going. I'm sure they won't be happy sleeping on a pull out sofa for 2 weeks!

I’m not sure how comfy the pull out couch is. Hope it will be better than some.

Have you heard if Disney Fort Wilderness Campground "cabins" are going to be open and if any guests could be transferred to a cabin?

That may be because we are hearing reports that CMs are making mistakes and that only DVC and Ft Wilderness are open for moves And should not be offering anything else for choices.

Yes the cabin is an option however you don’t get to choose. They say you can stay here or cancel. For what I have seen the cabins going to people who booked value or mod with capacity 5 or 6.

That is current and who knows when hotels will open? And what they will do then ??

Keep reading here it seems to be the best place for accurate info at this time.

Yes, they opened the entire resort. So campsites and cabins are opening on the 22nd.

1 br villas ending in 04, 10, 12 are on the outer C side and have side view of the castle. They are lake view,

The other ones I like again are outer C with side views of CR and monorail :34, 36,42 all considered lake view.

Odd # rooms face the inside C FYI if you didn’t know.

If I was upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom I don’t think I’d push my luck! Especially considering theme park view doesn’t mean much right now without lights on/fireworks.

Lake view would actually be my preference right now at BLT. Theme park view is primarily parking lot view unless the castle and space mountain are lit and you can see fireworks - - which is not happening for awhile. Balcony view of bay lake is much more appealing right now.

Thank You! I knew some lake front views do give you a little bit of a castle view so I am hoping that is what we can get. Not that it matters since there isn't much to see but, just seeing the castle will be something soothing for my soul!

Someone posted an email to UK guests from yesterday or today. They are dealing with them now. I can't find the post or which thread anymore though. I can't remember if it was through the end of the year or not.

For Saratoga, there are pros and cons to any of the buildings. It is different for the "pre park opening" period because bus pick up and drop off locations (order and how many there are) don't really matter. Some are a closer walk to restaurants at the resort or to Disney Springs. There are a couple of pools. If you look at the Saratoga main thread, you will see people passionate about any of the buildings. There are threads you can search for that have room request recommendations -- just remember that some won't matter before park opens.

I did read that Bell Services won't escort guests, only bags, during the initial reopening. Yikes, Saratoga is a big resort to walk on foot to find your building until you get acclimated.

And there is a golf course!

It is all new and no one really knows what level of bell services will be available. I do know they said valet parking isn’t available except for guests with disabilities, so perhaps they would look at your situation that way and provide the assistance you need. You could try calling and ask.
