Mom, her caregiver Barbara, and DSis are in Cape May NJ and are prepared to evacuate inland. The tourists left as of yesterday and many of the neighbors have plans to leave today. Authorities will be preventing people from coming into Cape May starting Saturday morning, they will have all parkway lanes going north out of town.

A DF's sister was supposed to get married on the beach in Cape May on Saturday. How about that for a story that will last?! Let's hope it means good luck for a long and happy marriage!

This has been some week, an earthquake earlier this week and now a hurricane. We own an oceanfront condo in Ocean City Maryland that we rent out, they are also evacuating the area, hoping our renters has left the condo instead of trying to ride out the storm.

To all our east coast neighbors, please be safe as Irene passes through.

Yes, I hope people are safe. This was in the news:

In Cape May County, Emergency Management Director Frank McCall gave a chilling deadpan admonishment to Cape May residents and vacationers wanting to stay behind to ride out the storm.

He asked them to put a 3-by-5 index card in their left shoe with their Social Security number, next of kin and telephone number of next of kin, “so we know how to identify you.” He did not seem to be joking.

That could be why Nancy decided to leave today instead of tomorrow! They are closing the casinos in AC today.

Hey, the duct tape may come in handy this weekend if Irene hits us! at least anything we tape will look pretty. and I love animal crackers myself--might take them with me next week. I'll let you know about the puzzle.

Yes, it came in a solidly packed box! I hope mine gives as much pleasure as Princess's has for me!

Postcard - Victoria...with beautiful sights and Penguins!

Spoon rest....With Fairy Penguins which are a major tourist attraction in Victoria. Stopping at the penguin house at the Cincinnati zoo is a must for me, so the theme is perfect for me!

Triangle shaped item - Australia pin with a boomerang!

Item made from wood - A Tasmanian Oak bookmark in the shape of a gum leaf. This is hand painted and beautiful.

Menu - From E.C. Pot and Sumo Salad brochure. These are Asian eateries.

Yellow item - A Mouse Pad that would have been perfect as a souvenir item as well!

"D" - A didgeridoo ! A piece of art and a musical instrument. This is also made out of wood. It is gorgeous. I will play it!

Puzzle - A puzzle that lets you make many bird shapes. It will be fun to use!

Something Fuzzy - A Koala bag, another tourist item, and definitely fuzzy and something we all associate with Australia!

Snack - Chocolate and carmel in the shape of a Koala, what could be better? It WAS great tasting.

Luggage tag - Aussie icons. I am happy to have and use it!

Summer Related - A hand painted reusable bag with a beach scene. This is perfect for me to use for carrying library books, for instance!

Something in a can - Lemon gum scented candle. I love the scent!

Tourist souvenir - Boomerang - wooden, wonderfully decorated and it comes with instructions.

Something with a Cat - Is a notpad! Definitely practical!

Princess, I have a small collection of wooden things from different places and I'm making place on my mantel for some of these beautiful wooden things.

Princess included an extra, her favorite cookies Tim Tams. I am smiling and when she gets her package, I hope she'll explain to you all why!

This has been my favorite exchange so far, and I've had lots of other good ones with things that I use and then remember my disboard friends.
