Confession Time! What's your secret shame?

DD7 lost her nerve after getting on TOT. I could tell by looking at her that she would still go through with it for me but I called the CM before the doors closed and got us off of there...because I was scared too! :lmao:

I cry at all fireworks shows. Esp. Wishes and Fantasmic.

I don't get TSM. Did it once, and it was fun, but I wouldn't stand in line for an extended amount of time for it. :confused3

I know that many on this board would consider this sacrilege but I think TSM is just so so. I have done it twice and if I missed it a 3rd time I woudln't have any regrets. But I'm grateful that it takes a bunch of people off the line for RNRC and TOT early. :)

Let's see. I cry every time during the Nemo show when they sing "that's my dad". Astro Orbiter does give me a chill. I once went "commando" at DHS and I once fell asleep during the Lion King show.

I love Tinkerbelle, but im not much of a fan of the other fairies or the tinkerbell movies :) can't wait to meet her though nex year on my trip

I don't have any clue why, but every single time I see the Voyage Of The Little Mermaid, when they sing Part Of Your World, I get misty-eyed.

I'm not proud of this fact.

I'll also confess that the "kid-friendly" Stitch's Great Escape scares the crap out of me (weirdly, more-so than did Alien Encounter, which I loved).

So, 'fess up... what's your secret shame when it comes to attractions at Walt Disney World?

Your secret's safe with me. (And the million other Disboard posters...) LOL

Richard/Tralfie

I fight back tears when we see that big WDW sign upon entering on our arrival. (Only because DH would make fun of me for the rest of our life if he knew.)

Stitch's Great Escape scares the bejeebus out of me, too. :scared1:

And while I absolutely love thrill rides, I'm dreading DD9 asking me to ride ToT with her. I'll do anything for her ... but I will be the mom crying on the ride.

I get teary eyed walking down main st the first time on our trip. Also, when i hear Jimminy Cricket talking right before Wishes.

My confession is that although I have ridden many very high/scary roller coasters (at many theme parks) ... Astro Orbiter scares me to DEATH! Rode it once ... that was it! I know it is not like roller coasters but come on ... how can I be that scared!!! But I am ... :scared1:

OMG!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Astro Orbiter scares the living "you know what" out of me!!! I won't ride it. (I'm totally a roller coaster person too.. but Astro Orbiter is totally out of the question for me!!

Meanwhile, I'm scared of Dumbo and the Magic Carpets too. I think it's the height. Terrifies me no end. And yet, I enjoy rollercoasters. Strange, strange, strange.

I also cry when the characters are particularly nice to my kids, or when we're watching the parade. Haha I'm such a pansy! :confused3 :rotfl2:

I cry when we hear the WDW music as we enter MK, I cry through the Walt Disney Story, I cry buckets during Lion King......
But my deepest secret shame is that I made a bkfst reservation at CP so that I could have the opportunity to experience and photograph the empty park...
and it was so worth it!!!

I have two "secret shames."

1. Wishes always gets me choked up. And then the song will get stuck in my head for DAYS.

2. I LOVE roller coasters but cannot deal with the ToT. It gives me the WORST anxiety attacks. Deciding not to ride it anymore has made my trips to DHS less anxiety inducing!

I've used the "chicken" exit on Space Mountain TWICE! I managed to ride it once but NEVER AGAIN! My favourite coaster is Big Thunder Mountain, I dont ride any other roller coasters and actually enjoy them.

Heres another secret...my husband and I went to WDW for our 15 Anniversary last May and didn't tell our kids! Planned it for months and they still dont know :)

I also get teary-eyed during Wishes and the Main Street Electrical Light Parade. I remember seeing the Main Street Electrical Light Parade for the first time on my High School Senior Skip Trip (decades ago). I picked my perfect job right then....to synchronize the music and lights for an Electrical Light Parade. I'm sure I'll never get that job but it's still the perfect job in my mind.

I don't like SpectroMagic as much because the Main Street Electrical Light Parade reminds me of that first WDW trip all those years ago. Plus, some of the Spectromagic characters are just a bit too dark for me. I also love the Main Street Electrical Light Parade music. I found a CD of it a few years ago. I play it frequently to get my "fix" of the Main Street Electrical Light Parade.

My DD16 and I try to go to Disney every year. I used to tell people that my DD16 was still in the Disney phase so that's why we keep going back. Now I just tell them that we are both Disney-aholics. We're going back in April and we can't wait!

Ohhh. I thought of another one when I was watering my plants. I have two clippings from the hanging plants at Poly.:rolleyes1

I am terrified of Splash Mountain, not because of the drop but because I am afraid that the log will flip over and trap me under water and that I'll drown. Irrational, I know, but I've never been able to shake the fear.

I don't have that problem with Splash Mountain, but I have to admit, every time I'm on something like Kali Rapid River Run, it TOTALLY occurs to me and I go through a few minutes of freak-out.

My shameful secret....I can't set foot in Florida without going to Disney, I even get upset if I have to go to south Georgia and I can't keep going to Disney.

It's a yummy soda in the Club Cool spot in Epcot - a place where they let you sample coke products from around the world. You take dixie cups and have as much as you like.
You really MUST try Beverly!

Oh, I love that place!

As for Beverly... listen, mama didn't raise no fools! Well, maybe one... my sister... who'll be on this trip...

Beverly, you say. Beverly, I'd like you to meet my sister, Susan... Bwahahaha

I always cry at the Hall of Presidents. I find it so moving and so patriotic. It makes me feel proud to live in this great nation. I know lots of people use it for a quick 20 minute nap and I find that very sad....

THis may be my very favorite "confession." LOL

I have to say, I really had no clue this silly idea would get so much feedback! I love it! It's both fun to see that others share your "secret shame"... and some of this stuff is just plain hysterical.

The "fear fart" on TOT? That made my WEEK.

Don't feel bad, I cry at the end of Beauty and the Beast EVERY time I see it. I can't seem to stop it. Doesn't matter if it's the movie, the Broadway play, the DHS show. DH thinks its hilarious.

Glad I'm not alone... maybe we should sit together!;)

My 10 year old son was mortified that I was crying...
DH was just like, "let it go son, just let it go..."

Then he looked over at me during every show to see if I was crying.

I have to close my eyes during the Wizard of Oz portion of The Great Movie Ride b/c that movie scared the bejeebers out of me. Still does, can't watch it!

Runner up is the candy man in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Lord help me if they ever revamp and decide to put something about that in there!

DD thinks it's funny I can sit through Exorcist and the like, but a green faced witch and a creepy .... I smellll chilllldrennn ... candy man scare the pants of me :rotfl:

My secret shame is that I get goosebumps and teary eyed every time I go to Festival of the Lion King or Nemo.

Animal Kingdom is my FAVORITE park.

I love Disney food. I'm super picky and eat like a five year old. I could eat their chicken nuggets every day. (and do when I'm there)

I really dislike DHS. I like the rides there, but touring that park always makes me crabby.

Finally, being an Imagineer is my dream job.
