***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

@Candycane83 @Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL @BDFmom Thanks you guys!! :)

Everyone chose their top 3 ADR picks for this trip and CRT was actually one of mine. Honestly, if I could get into that castle without eating a meal, I would be content with that!

We do have quite a bit of MK time, including EMM, so this would kind of be "bonus" time I guess. Though I know there's really never such a thing as too much! ;)

I will take a family vote tonight when the kids get home. :) I came up with this concoction this morning when thinking about how to best incorporate WL exploration! You know how one thing leads to another! lol

Thanks again everyone! I always appreciate the different perspectives I get from the input here! :thanks:

Oh---and yes, we'll be on the regular dining plan. :)

I totally agree how one thing leads to another and another and another.... ;) i would know :rotfl:

Anyone want to play Would You Rather? :D

Plan A:
AK until 3:30ish?
CRT @4:45p (party night)
A couple of MK rides (timing dependent)
Check out GF decorations
Contemporary at 8:30 for Pirates and Pals

Plan B:
AK until 2:30ish?
HDDR 4:15p show
Check out Wilderness Lodge decorations
Contemporary at 8:30 for Pirates and Pals

We'll be able to see resort decorations at both resorts at times other than these, so that isn't a now-or-never type thing. :) But an ADR choice needs to be made, and that IS a this trip or next time decision. Any thoughts?
I'm a little late to reply :) and I haven't done either, but after a lot of thought I've decided to do CRT. I remember as a kid seeing in the castle and always wondering what was up those stairs... Does anyone know..am I dreaming or was there a sorcerers stone theme up there before??
Also, I tried to see YouTube videos of both Hddr and CRT to decide what's best for our family..
I also vote for more MK time any day :) good luck with the voting! Anything wil be great

By the way, anyone started with their packing lists? The other thread a lot of our group is part of too talked about weather and Disney tees... I just bought DS some more t shirts and sweaters.. Thinking he will need to be ready for all sorts of weather :rotfl:

on a side note, I work close to a Disney store, 10 minute speed walking and it's very bad for my credit card! (T shirts and tsum tsums on a random day) Even worse when we move to the office above the mall by the end of next year! :faint:

@Talby and @Candycane83 I know nothing about this - one thing leads to another about which you speak. :rolleyes1

It must be some kind of Disney disease. Is it contagious?

:rotfl2:

It must be since most of us are infected! :rotfl2:

I believe it's HIGHLY contagious!! You ALL have it!! It's kind of why I wanted to run this latest brainstorm across you guys first. There is a CHANCE I might get an eye roll or two from my kids! lol They like planning on a level that doesn't delve into the depths of the minutia where we all thrive! ;)

I fell in love with getting up in the castle in the 6th grade. :love:So I hear you!! :) I'm not indecisive; I'm open-minded to everything! ;)

Oh....you talking about t-shirts reminded me of this one that I wanted to share! Redbubble.com :) Lots of unique Disney stuff!

December seems so iffy weather wise. I guess it can go either way, so we'll need to be prepared across the board. More list-making it seems!! I bookmarked that list @pigletgirl shared and that's about as far as I've gotten! lol (too busy being open-minded on ADRs!) On this same topic, I see lots of suggestions on the boards for organizing resort rooms. Like...a clear shoe organizer to hang up on the bathroom door for toiletries, night lights, collapsible hamper...things like that. Anyone with any tricks up their sleeve with this kind of stuff?

I laughed that it's "10 minutes speed walking" to get to the Disney store! lol ;) That would be pretty hard to resist, especially with an upcoming trip!

I agree with the weather... Which is why I'm getting ready early ;) and speed walking is better than running to the Disney store :rotfl2: sometimes I just happen to 'wander' there.

Hmm I've travelled a lot with my own family before I got married and I got my mom's habits when staying in a hotel. I would bring one extra pair of shoes/ flip flops per person so no need for a shoe organizer. As we go through our dirty clothes, I normally pack those in a separate compartment in the luggage. Toiletries- I just use one white medium towel from the hotel and lay out toiletries in the corner of the counter... just a personal opinion, I think the organizers just add weight to your luggage unless you're willing to leave them behind. I'm sure you can organize yourself without them. :)

My packing list was made before the 180 day mark. For some reason that was more important to me than ADRs. Actually, it was probably just easier for me so I started with that. :rolleyes1

I do keep adding to it though. Like a couple weeks ago when I added "Christmas Tree and decorations" to the packing list. :rotfl:

I totally will be packing early for Disney. No more repeats of this Oregon trip packing the night before. That was stressful, LOL! I'm super thankful that we're driving so we can fit extra bags for both cold and warm weather. It was really hard to pack for Oregon since it's cold and warm here now while trying to keep it to two suitcases for the four of us so we could manage the kids, car seats and a stroller. I hate flying with young kids!

let the packing list begin! ;) did u fly to Oregon? Hope you're having a great trip :)

wow all of you late ADR snaggers are making me jealous that I didn't have any changes to make! nah not really. I just recited my whole dining plan from memory last night to someone lol.

Ok, so when I talk to my friends about our Disney trip, and all the great ADR's we have, and all the cool things we'll be doing, I can SEE their eyes glazing over; but it still doesn't stop me from going on and on about it!

the lab is on cape and an hour away so it's better than taking a full day off of work. i feel like crap all the time and can't lose weight even when doing the right things... I used to see and endo before moving here 6 years ago but haven't since. found a new one and she ordered a boatload of tests. so here I am, taking care of myself and stuff. my basic labs from my pcp were fine so I'm probably not dying, at least not any faster than anyone else.
Ugh, I hope they can figure out what's going on with you! I'm bummed we didn't get to the Cape this year. I don't know if I told you, but DH grew up there, in West Yarmouth. We usually go for a long Labor Day weekend. We continually argue over which is better; Cape or MV. I'm partial to MV, of course. He thinks dealing with the ferries is a huge PITA. :rotfl:

Someone said something about being annoyed at the blackish episode... If I remember correctly it was @areno79... Just wanted to say the planner in me feels the exact same way! Lol! DH couldn't figure why I did not enjoy the episode as much as he thought I would :rotfl:

YES, thank you!! It drove me nuts; especially the "staircase" to Soarin'. I was all...NO. Just, NO. :sad2:

Some Disney Holiday Cheer!

OMG, I love this! I was shocked last night in TRU they already had Christmas stuff out. And at Target next to the display of Pumpkin Spice coffees and goodies, they had a display with all kinds of Peppermint stuff. What is going on here?!? Pick a season!

I guess it would depend if you've done CRT before, or HDDR before. Whichever one you HAVEN'T done, do that one. ::yes:: Of course, if you've never done either, I can't help you much with that. :scratchin It's a touch choice! I mean, you could always just do both! :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

breaking news: kiddo is on board for WCC breakfast. might be better than Boma for a late breakfast before early 'Ohana too, they have some lighter options if I choose. kiddos eyes got big as saucers at "bottomless milkshakes" lol.

Yep, I have a bin in our closet that has all of our Disney junk in it! I won't start truly packing till right before thanksgiving.

It's going to be a personal goal of mine to take pictures of as many Christmas trees as I can. Any guesses as to how many that might be?

According to the video from Inside Parks or whatever, there are about 900. I'm sure we'll all get to see about half that :P

@Candycane83 You seriously crack me up. I was reading some of your posts and literally laughed out loud. M says what crazy thing did someone else write!

@areno79 I just wanted you to know that I get it. It's really wonderful being around children, but also so hard. Sending you hugs

Disney Parks Blog just announced this morning that “The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History" will begin at Magic Kingdom on October 2. The show will take place several times a day just outside the Hall of Presidents and feature Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and The Great Gonzo recounting the story of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

We'll be in MK on Oct 2nd. We plan to catch the Muppets in between our Haunted Mansion fp, the new castle show that we haven't seen yet, and lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. We are hoping to catch the new Rivers of Light show, too, but that one is a long shot, I think.

I notice that I keep being drawn to Wilderness Lodge. I just seem to randomly and intermittently stumble upon positive comments about WL, particularly the atmosphere at Christmastime, and I've become very intrigued by this resort. I think I have a really good spot in our schedule where taking the boat over will fit nicely into our day. What I've read a handful of times recently is how awesome meeting Santa is at WL. Does anyone happen to have any experience with Santa at WL?

We stayed at WL Nov 30 to Dec 5th, 2013 and they had Photopass photographers in the lobby to take your pictures in front of the huge tree, but Santa wasn't there. The resort looks beautiful and a lot of people came to the resort to have their family Christmas pictures taken. They would be dressed in their Christmas outfits.
