Remember, this is the time of year when he actually has to "work."
Yeah guys...geeeeez!!! HAHA!!

Sorry - I'm in the pre-trip grind right now. Trying to get everything in order. Had 3 meetings and 4 calls between yesterday and today. I'll probably be pretty quiet here until next Saturday.

I could really use somebody to post a few major events to the news thread. I perused the thread today but simply don't have time to get it all over there! At any rate - happy to read all the fun stuff today! I'll make sure to punch an iguana when I'm down there if I see any!!

I checked again tonight after I told my family about the change in FP selections at DHS and I got Smugglers Run! I had SDD but they were all in agreement that they wanted Smugglers instead. Ordered our MB’s which I had forgotten about but just as well because the one my son wanted was back in stock now and wasn’t the last time I looked a month ago. Got my DH a funny one that has Grumpy on it. 😜 and found some cute nail stickers for my DD and I to try and use. We don’t go to any nail salon so this is as close as we will get to Disney nails.

I am so out of order today, as usual I could barely keep up :)

Showing up as "Limited Time Offer - Ends 4/2"
So I'm completely blind because I can't see this on any of the pages I pull up. It's probably right in my blind spot - right smack dab in front of my face - but whereabouts is that banner/text? It was plan as the nose on my face on the United landing page but I'm lost on the IHG one.

I’m am trying to come up with some type of plan for 2020 but since we don’t know for sure where we will travel it’s hard to pin anything down.
I’m thinking once I finish my MSR on my SW performance I might go for Amex BBP. I see through support links I can do 10,000/$3000 or 15,000/5000. The $5000 is just too much after just finishing the performance. Is 10,000 the best I should expect for this card. I’m in no hurry.
The absolute best offer for the BBP card is 20k/3k so far. Usually that's a targeted offer though and it's rare to pull up the 3k spend, if you can pull it up it's more likely to be a 20k/5k offer.

Outside of that it has only had an sign up bonus through a support link. The standard support link offer is the 10k/3k but it's elevated right now to 15k/5k - I assume because it looks like there's actually a public sign up bonus for the 10k/3k.

Thank you..so you recommend me calling in for a better deal before it renews?
It's generally easier since they'll charge your CC on file on your renewal date for the regular contract rate which, IMO, is crazy. So then when you go to cancel/haggle they'll have to do some kind of refund to the card. If you can catch it before it charges then they can update the rate and you'll just get that charge. It complicated things for us since we also wanted to change the card to charge. If you change the card on file in your online account after they charge the renewal, they put the refund to the new card on file. Which hasn't been so bad in the past but we were changing the card to use an offer which won't trigger with a negative charge!

This is a good website to see what deals people are getting when they try to renew their SiriusXM. I just have a calendar reminder setup every 6 months to call in and haggle a renewal.

Oh, so I had been collecting current offers as people mentioned them in the last few weeks. I armed hubby with them all, including the $30 for 6 months that he had been getting before... somehow we walked out with the $10/month. IDK. :confused3 Still better than $120 for 6 months that it renewed at so I'll live. The comments here will be a quicker check next year. Thanks!

Yikes, I am so far behind! I was thinking AK cruise in July next year. Am I too late? I was just pricing out but not sure how to see how booked they are already.
It really depends on how set you are for cabin type and location. July is one of the busier months but I still usually find last minute "deals" for summer sailings. You just might not get an ideal cabin location or a cabin type might be sold out. If you're flexible with your dates and can split up into smaller parties so that you're not looking for a specific cabin capacity, it's still doable.

I think there are sites that track sell out numbers but I usually just do a mock booking on a date I'm looking at. When we go through to select cabin type you can select your cabin number and you can see the number of "suggestions" that are listed and where they are on the deck plans. (at least all the lines I look at have)

OK, what are everyone's thoughts on WDW in 2021? How much do you think the 50th will impact crowds?
So I'm doing test run this year - week before Easter. If I can survive that I think I might be able to survive F&W for the 50th. If not, we'll see you in 2022 Walt!

Am I the only one who finds this confusing? (Not your post, but the entire idea).
I guess everyone figured it worked for the The Producers :confused3

Ahhh then I feel less sorry. We’ve been having issues with coyotes in our area
Wow it never occurred to me coyotes would be elsewhere! I just assumed the were a desert animal! They roam our neighborhood occasionally and people freak out. Then they call me (at work) and when I tell them they're a free roaming animal they freak out more. Having said that... bring in your smaller pets!

I never thought I would see coyotes here. We have tons of armadillos too! I haven’t actually seen a coyote but the pictures people have posted make them look pretty big! They’re traveling in packs as big as 4. We don’t have any dogs and our cats stay inside. I’m slightly worried walking at night

Wow, all the ones I've seen are definitely singles!

Is there another person you can walk with? Two humans are definitely going to be scarier than one!

And for those planning and changing FP at HS ... don’t forget to factor Mickey&Minnie Runaway Train opens March 4.
How will that be handled?
I know! We definitely want to go on it. We are going down on March 14, so I guess I will have 10 days to watch and see. No idea how it will be handled.

DH just walked DGD across the road. We definitely have coyotes here and hear them frequently. His concern recently has been the possibility of cougars.

My guess is stand by only. And everyone in the park will go their first after they secure their boarding pass. 😞
