What do you silently judge people for?

@Wendy31, I wanted to take my DNiece to London when I took my DD in 2019. I gave her a year to try food that wasn’t Mac and Cheese. She refused to try anything new, so she stayed home. I’d have given my arm for an aunt to take me to Europe, but she was 15 and was certain that nothing tasted as good as Mac and Cheese and bread.
She regretted it when we came home.

I haven’t done everything always right as a parent, but my husband & I have tried really hard to expose our kids to different cuisines & to not be afraid of new flavors. I want them to always be able to find something on the menu they’ll eat at any restaurant.

(Admittedly, our youngest is MUCH less adventurous than his 2 older siblings & currently has a very limited palate... but I’m hoping, as he gets older, his tastes mature.)

I had to fight my DD over escargot when she was little. I'd order the appetizer and she would eat 5 of the 6 that were presented.

This is also how my DS learned that he loved duck.

All I asked was that they try something. If they didn't like it, they could swallow or spit it out and have a drink to get rid of the taste. They usually liked what they tasted.

I don't think my niece would be as fussy if my sister was still alive. My sister was picky, but she would try things. When I took my niece to WDW a few years ago, we ate counter service for every meal to ensure that she could eat mac and cheese. She wants to go to Paris when she graduates from HS. I guess she plans to live on baguettes while she is there.

Drive by parties. I understand we are in a pandemic but I judge. I have avoided any invites I’ve gotten but attended one last week for the first time because my SO asked me to go for his young niece. I felt so awkward. I’m happy that they make other people happy but I’m Still not a fan. So I probably got judged for doing something I judge. 😆
:o Guilty as charged. Here we were put under drastic restrictions including the prohibition of any social gatherings even outdoors. :( It completely ruined visiting over the holidays so when my BFF had a milestone birthday in early January, myself and 3 of our other close friends decorated our vehicles and drove (separately) up to her house. Before she knew we were there, we each jumped out and left gifts on the driveway. We then honked twice, waited for her to come to the porch and then all opened our windows and sang Happy Birthday. Granted, it's a lame excuse for an actual party, but we are just so, so, sooooo tired of text chains and zooms.

I am not judging your judgment :rotfl2: but some of these people make big bucks with their gym selfies and gym videos.
I was in line with my kids this weekend at one of the parks, and there were 2 gorgeous ladies directly in front of us. The entire time, they were taking photos of each other in different poses, and they would review them. I have no doubt they were IG "models." Everything they had on was designer. They were perfectly made up, the works. I wonder if they made enough to pay for their trip by going on the trip...

Thst reminds me. I judge people and their perfectly polished and manicured IG pages. I can’t even follow them. I know they make tons of money as an influencer but it’s not real. Especially the mom influencers. It’s like give me a break. But I know they make a killing doing this.

People who inconvenience other people because of their (self) importance. Several years ago we were at Yellowstone. There was a young woman who was dressed to kill sporting her beautiful paper parasol lounging back on the railing at one of the Sulphur pits known as a geyser basin. Nothing sexy about a geyser basin. The guy that was with her (boyfriend?) was across the boardwalk taking dozens of pictures. People were stopping for them to take pictures. They kept on like she was some movie star or something. I gave her about 2 minutes and I was done. It was a very crowded area and they were impeding the foot traffic. Others behind me seemed relieved that I walked through the picture session so they could also. I’m sure they said I was rude, but this was a National Park on a busy, busy day and ain’t nothing sexy about a geyser!

I do the same thing. I will gladly stop to let you take a couple of pics, but if you are doing a whole session, I'm not waiting on that.

Exactly! We saw them several different places and they were hijacking the boardwalk in multiple places! They got that one pass and we were done.

While I’m aware of people judging me because of my tattoos period... I will silently judge people with neck/face tats, and just plain bad ones.
Hi; they are just soooo widespread now...though of course some placements are less obtrusive than others.

The fact that so many ppl have it done, and have been having it done for so long, must mean that the mere fact of having had it done doesn't mean you immediately "know" the person underneath, anyway...

I thought you were going to say polished and manicured nails.🤣 Let me be judged by my perfect nails! 😜

This time of year.....

How idiotic people drive in the snow, and I’m not talking about new drivers/teenagers. I’m talking about people old enough to know better with how to drive in the snow/sleet/ice and etc.

Hi; there is an art to doing it but I admit I myself am not accustomed to driving in the snow...

I am, but didn't always live there...

Some Canucks regard southern Vancouver Island as almost tropical..... :) (in comparison to what they are used to...)
:goodvibes I guess I'm guilty of judging Canadians who don't know how to handle winter conditions.
