Hey folks, anyone have a recommendation for which Hyatt to stay at in San Francisco? It will be our first time Labor Day weekend, 3-4 nights. There are several choices!
Lol. I'm not going out of my mind. I got the Indy and Daytona 500 mixed up. I KNEW there was something going on but when I googled Indy500, it gave me different dates than I remember.
Just chatted with Amex and received a big fat nada retention offer. I put quite a bit of spend on the card, but apparently not enough (or it could be the frequency as most of the spend is in April for taxes). The agent was really nice but didn't really try to sell me on the card at all, which was interesting. Anyway, I have a couple more weeks to decide. I'm tempted to use the Dell credit and some of the airline credit, but I worry about clawbacks if I do close the card in a week or two. Any recent experience with that?

Is this an ecard or you just pick one up from the store? It’s one per card..I had the 10% off up to $5…purchased $50 DGCs on 4 of my cards no issues getting it
I buy the $50 e cards from shop Disney…they are usually delivered in a few hours…then I add it to a physical Disney gift cardIs this an ecard or you just pick one up from the store?
With my AF appearing any day now, I used the Dell and airline credits in early January. Hopefully they won't be clawed back. I haven't used my card much at all (except for the aforementioned credits); I called for a retention offer in December but was told I had one in February, 2021 and would have to wait until this month for another. I am not hopeful.Just chatted with Amex and received a big fat nada retention offer. The Gaylord in Orlando has a nice pool and other activities. The Courtyard FLL is on the beach. Pompano Beach has Marriotts or Hollywood Beach.Okay 2 more WWYD?
1- I'm supposed to be going to Playa Del Carmen on Tuesday w/ the BF. The trip is likely 95% a bust since his dad has to have heart surgery. Everything looked good after his 1st appts to push ahead. He has another set of appts on Monday. I was going to wait to cancel the hotel on Monday (which is w/in the window). He just got his March schedule, and it looks like we might be able to squeak out a trip March 6-9th. Right now my FNC are tied up w/ the reservation for next week. The hotel has availability for the March dates right now. I'm torn on cancelling now to make sure I get the March dates. If something happens Monday where the surgery is pushed, we will plan on going Tuesday. WWYD? Give up next week to make sure you get the March dates? Wait till Monday and then reschedule? Ahhhhh! I should add, March requires me to take off from school, and who knows what state his dad will be in after. So it's not a sure thing, or a better option to warrant cancelling next week (hope that makes sense).
2- Since likely PDC isn't happening, the BF told me I should still try and get away somewhere next week. I can fly direct into MIA, FLL, RSW, TPA and MCO. The weather looks good in all of those locations. But the issue is finding a good place to go that either has Marriott 50k free nights, or isn't $$$$$$$. I mean the Hampton Inn at Clearwater Beach w/ my friend's Hilton discount is $850/nt!!! Where would you suggest looking? I'd likely do 2-3 nights and I'm flexible on flying down anytime after Monday (damn hockey). I'll be using my non-rev bennies (for the first time) so flights aren't the issue. I need sunshine! I was hoping to snag the Sheraton in Clearwater (did that for a feb break before), but it's sold out. If I do beach, I'd like a hotel on the beach. If I do just warm and sunshine, I want a nice/awesome pool area.
The pull will still show up.Ok, pardon my possibly dumb question. But according to the flowchart on the r/churners thing, most business cards don't show on your credit report or count against the 5/24. So does that mean there's no harm in applying as a denial wouldn't hurt your score anyway? Or would the pull still show up?
Both, really, but I suppose with it being our first visit there we won't be in the room much because we'll be out exploring. So convenience should priority.are u looking for convenience or more luxury.
i go here on staycations love me the pools/vibeBut still good for the 1-4 FNC!
Just got the WOH card to get the two free nights certs to stay here or the Hyatt House Anaheim if we go to DL.i go here on staycations love me the lazy river
What if you don't have a zero balance card. I threw those away. I do have some $50 or 100That is what I always do. That way you can confirm the money is actually on the card.
Yes you can do that. What if you don't have a zero balance card. I threw those away. I do have some $50 or 100
ones. Can you add a 500 card to those? Just don't go over 1000?
Fingers crossed for you!Ugh seeing on r/awardtravel ana is cancelling flughts through october and only flying from sea twice a week. Haven't gotten an email and the reservation part of their site is down for maintenance.
Frustrating as there's small rumor they are going to start relaxing restrictions next month. Guess those DL miles might come in handy after all. Am booked one way so maybe I'll get lucky that one of my flights is a day they fly.
Lain recommended me Hyatt Regency Embarcadero, its across the street from the Ferry Building, sits on top of the metro/bart and you can also take buses to go up and down the piers. Assuming you dont have a car though. Hotel itself is nice but it isnt that great, but its a place to stay that allows you to go in both north, east and west direction. Both, really, but I suppose with it being our first visit there we won't be in the room much because we'll be out exploring. So convenience should priority.
Many Asian countries are still having the mindset of zero covid, i think sooner or later, it will start opening up. I believe Japan is currently trying to open up for study abroad students atm, soon it will be for tourist.Fingers crossed for you!
why can’t Japan just open up?!? I have a feeling it is going to be super expensive to book hotels when they finally open up.
