I don't think you get points for admitting you're anti-US. We all know that already. No big deal.
I'd choose NYC. I've traveled in Europe and visited quite a few big cities, but NYC felt more foreign to me than anyplace I'd ever been. I've been twice and barely touched the surface of what I wanted to see.

Have you been to the Magic Castle? That's something that's still on my list - let's go!L.A. Even though I lived there for 8 years, there are still many things I haven't seen or done there.
We were in Yellowstone for 3 days last year. Not nearly enough time. We could easily have spent a week and we’re not big hikers. It was indescribable. I hope to get back some day.I haven’t been to any of them and ultimately would like to visit all three. I think I would be most interested in Yellowstone, but 5 days might be too long.
I’m not anti US. I used to go shopping down there for a weekend every year. Now, I’d feel unsafe. I’m hardly the only person with those feelings.
Who is ‘we’?
I just dont believe you wouldnt want to have some fun in these places
I think "we" is everyone on this board that's been paying at least a little attention. It's very obvious, but it doesn't bother me. You have a right to your opinion.
You have probably been paying too much attention to the news. If I didn't know better, I'd be afraid to get out of bed. Bad news sells. Good news doesn't. I live near one of the most dangerous cities in the country & I don't feel unsafe. It's the same as most places. You stay out of the few dangerous areas & you're fine. I won't be going to those places anytime soon. There's no reason to feel unsafe where I live. Where I grew up, you can still leave your home & car unlocked. We've all heard about mass murders in a lot of countries. At this point, it sadly appears that no country is immune, even though some people want to deny it. That doesn't make me think those countries are bad. I would have no problem visiting them, but would want to stay out of the most dangerous areas. Bad things happen in good places, just like bad things happen to good people. It's too bad it's that way, but that's life.
