I cried tears of joy when we finally got Wegmans in NYC. I got hooked shopping there in Maryland when visiting family. Sadly it's slim pickins on Instacart, I put a cart together days ago and tomorrow evening was the earliest delivery option. I'm sure I'll get 20% of that order if I'm lucky.

Actually finding myself looking into those meal kit services, which is something I thought I'd never do in a million years being too proud a home cook, but the times man...

The thing about Digiorno, to me is it's very good, but I can get a carry out pizza hut/dominos/papa john's/hungry howies for the same or cheaper.

I like the little personal Digiornos with the cheese in the crust and combined with the convenience of having them in the freezer prefer them to the carry out ones. I watch for them to go 3 for 10 and buy a few. Problem then is by the time I want one, DD has already eaten them all.

I posted this a couple days ago and got one suggestion for AA. Any other options?

Planning for the future, we just started tossing aroung the idea of an Asia trip for DD's graduation in 3 years. What would be the best route to 4 first-class flights to Japan or Hong Kong in 2 or 3 years? Which airlines have the most availability? About how far out would we need to book? How many points and how best to accrue them primarily via cards with 2 players? If this is too crazy, I assume business would be more feasible?

Flying from TX, but we can position anywhere with SW.
Given that no one knows how the airlines will fare after the current situation I would just collect cash back or a flexible currency like URs or MRs.

We get our first dinnerly order next week so I’ll let everyone know what we think. I never would’ve considered a boxed meal service before but we thought we might as well try it since the first box we only had to pay for shipping.

Was supposed to be flying to NOLA this weekend for Spring Break. Instead I decided we should NOLA our staycation. Ordered some New Orleans staples from Amazon —beignet mix, hurricane mix, Zappo’s chips and a stuffed gator for DS (should have thought of this earlier but stuff will be here Monday or Tuesday). DS and I also made a list of food to make. We have things like shrimp po boys, muffuletta, bananas foster and red beans & rice on our list. We’ll watch some YouTube videos of NOLA and maybe find some virtual museum tours.
On the grocery front, I need to figure out where to get ingredients for our feast. I’m a pretty hardcore Aldi shopper. There are actually 2 Aldi stores in our tiny suburb of less than 20k people and both were remodeled in the past 2 years. When I started shopping Aldi, I saved an average of $20-30 per week. That said, there are things I can’t get there like King Arthur flour, whole wheat bagel and burger buns (they do have them seasonally but not all year) and decent whole wheat pasta. Those things I can find at Target, which is cheaper than most other grocers for those items, but that means 2 stores. Ugh.

Be Prepared - a parody by @SouthFayetteFan

You never thought this quarantine essential
It’s true that it drives you insane
But maybe there’s a glimmer of potential
If we stick to this life so mundane
I know that you won’t pay attention
And this all feels like unneeded strife
But thick as you are, your dissension
It affects more than just your own life
It's clear from your vacant expressions
The lights are not all on upstairs
But we're talking about your transgressions
Even you can't be caught unawares
So prepare for some distancing socially
Be prepared for some difficult times
A shining new era
Is tiptoeing nearer
Where COVID’s not featured
Just listen to teacher
I know it sounds sordid
But you'll be rewarded
When at last we are given our dues
And social distancing’s end is declared
Be prepared!

I'm still waiting for my home made pizza but it's coming, slowly but surely.
I made 6 homemade pizzas last night. Each one was different...a veggie, a spicy, a meat, a supreme, a pepperoni and a hawaiian. I've got an extra teen, well he is 20yo, as his fam is quarantined and he cannot go home yet. He drove my dd home from the dcp and is staying with us til it's safe. And then I had another teen guy as well last night for dinner. Anyways, I love homemade pizza and I make fantastic pizza, if I do say so myself. It's always a hit!

Now I am thinking about pizza (thanks, everyone). Do you have Papa Murphy's where you are? It's a "take and bake" place. I am thinking that might be safer these days than standard delivery... but I really don't want to go out right now.... because you know, getting dressed and all is hard work!
We love Papa Murphys!!! My fav is the gourmet veggie de-lite!

That is our favorite as well. We substitute light red sauce and add chicken. Sometimes we get the thin crust, sometimes the regular crust. If we are feeling particularly naughty we get the Cowboy. Right now though, I'm not keen on someone else touching my food.

When I tried to apply for the CIP yesterday and got the weird pop up screen, I never got it to go to a “pending” or “successfully submitted” screen. When I called chase today the first time I put in my ssn it says it doesn’t match, and when I re enter it, it says the information is not available. Does this mean the app didn’t go through and I should try again? This, along with dh being home, us working 12hr days finishing our new mudroom, a teething baby, and finding out that the wife of one of the guys dh works with has a pending covid test (yay) has me frustrated and stressed out.

Just wanted to add that this used to happen to me all the time. The website thought I was leaving some field blank for some reason. If I recall correctly, using Chrome Incognito solved the problems.

Well - I’m not growing a child or anything like some people here 😉

I’m just trying to enjoy my last hours of freedom. With the passage of the stimulus bil,l Monday will bring a hundred plus loan requests. 🤣

So, does that mean your work quota for this year will be filled by tomorrow Monday afternoon? Or will you just keep on producing as much as you possibly can?
