Has anyone gotten a retention offer from AMEX through Chat? AF just posted on Marriott Biz. Since it is on DH's account, would be good if I can get something through chat if possible.

OMG, thank you all so much. My Amex Plat annual doesn’t come up until March, but I chatted and they gave me 50k points for keeping the card open. A rather long chat, but no complaints from me!! Thanks so much for sharing great info.

Thanks for posting this. I did the status match this week from my companion pass. It was pretty easy and quick. I have never flown frontier before mainly because they don't have a lot of flights from my home airport and then when I added all their extra fees it was pretty close price wise to flying Southwest. Without those extra fees tacked on then they have some great fares available and I am looking forward to trying them out.

I too pulled the trigger and ended up with RT flights to Orlando for $339 for 4 people- TOTAL! That’s like $85 RT/pp. Crazy. And got the “stretch seating.”
Wonder if we can status match Frontier 100k to another airline now? Ha!

Update on those gaming chairs I ordered from Staples a couple days ago: They're now sold out online! It says "in store only" but they're not available at stores near me so I am glad I ordered them when I did.

Now all I need is for the boxes to NOT have pictures or descriptions of the product on the outside... but I bet they will *sigh*. My kids usually get home from school before I get up.

When did you apply and get denied? If in the last month you need to wait the 30 days

Just applied a couple of weeks ago. Understood that you have to wait a minimum of 30 days, but wasn't sure if most recommend to wait longer before reapplying.

Wow, how time flies (well, time can, but not all trAAin riders can...)

My first thought was "Really? I thought that was December, it was really this early it started?"

Then I looked at today's date

Which means last two days to use up any monthly CC credits, hit monthly spend caps/promos, or claim/earn fuel points! I'm a couple bucks shy of getting another fuel reward so I gotta remember to hit Acme while I'm out for a loaf of bread or something.

Am I missing something with the Amex Platnium Uber credit? I add my platinum to my Uber acct, I order Uber eats, get credit?
I just got my first statement and don’t see any credit for using Uber eats?

The Amex platinum credit should automatically load to your Uber wallet and when you order something it should be set to first use the wallet. There’s no statement credit.

Bought 3 $100 Apple GCs with 3 $20 Target GCs. Used them to purchase $399 iPhone SE this morning from Apple. Apple gave me a $50 GC for my purchase. (I only used $300 in Apple GCs because I wasn't sure if the $50 off deal from Apple would work if I paid 100% in GCs). Effective price $399-60-50= 289 and I'm done Christmas shopping.

What shipping time did they give you on the iPhone?

Not a credit card question but for the gamers here, I have a question.
We just got an Xbox this year, so I don't know the ins and outs. DS plays Madden 20 a lot and had asked for Madden 21 for Christmas. Will he be able to play both games or does the new game replace the old one and essentially remove his old team?

DS has both and it does not replace them. He can still play both versions just fine. The same with NBA2K.
