and THIS is what I'm confused(and concerned) over! How can the company merge, decide they're all marriotts, except they're not? I'm struggling to understand wth this all means (that's heck)
Exactly. I’ll just save my Lux credit for my Swan stay and not buy a Marriott GC.
Yay!yes, I did this morning
Yes, I did this am.Has anyone had GCs work at Home Depot for RMN?
Not sure if anyone answered but they usually have 3-$50 GCS for 142ish or $500’s (forget how much) but usually $150 are higher % off. If no membership, find a friend with one. I use a coworkers.I've never been a Sam's Club member/purchased anything from Sam's. I have the $10 off $50 offer on my SPG Biz. Can someone help me out on what my options are for buying Disney GCs from there?
I think staples is L3. The others are fine. That said, I have put gc from staples on my amex for MSR but not an extensive amount.Yay!
And is it high risk to put GCs on my SPG Lux at Home Depot, Walgreens and Staples for MSR? I forget who has level 3. DS will be thrilled is I let him buy a candy bar at each. Lol.
Omg, I’m so picturing Lain screaming like a girl. And then @SouthFayetteFan talking in his high pitched “wife voice”Squee!
@tink1970 and @calypso726 - eBags is earning 20 United miles/$1 on MileagePlus Shopping today!
And don’t forget you get an extra 5x UR on purchases up to $200 when using CFU, CSP, or CSR at eBags!
AND Tumi is having a 20% off event right now!
SQUEEEEEE!
I still have 10% off Amex offer on my SPG Biz, maybe I’ll stack that with RMN for $100 GCI think staples is L3. The others are fine. That said, I have put gc from staples on my amex for MSR but not an extensive amount.
Love having inside sourcesYou should be able to use at Acme soon!!
Disney of course. What gift cards are good to get at Walgreens with the rmn offer?
What is your grocery store? Thats awesome that you can get 12%Ok - so those interested in my Disney trip and what we're doing here goes...(and a comparison to if I could use URs)...
So if I could use URs this would cost 356,133 UR points through my CSR. (You could potentially assume that through some Disney discount I could save 25k-35k URs by applying the discount AND upgrading my room category - so best case scenario I spent 320k+ URs for the trip).
- Travel Dates 1/26 through 2/2
- 4 nights at Beach Club // 3 nights at Polynesian
- Both in Standard View Rooms
- Rack Rate + Standard Ticket Price = $5,340 (I could assume a Disney discount here...but that would probably apply to a more expensive room category - essentially eating up my savings).
I still have $2,500 worth of gift cards to purchase...we'll hit on that one in a minute...This brings my NET trip cost down to $3,685
- My all in booked cost through TA = $4,500 (for rooms + tickets). Right here I've now saved $840
- I can pay for this with Disney Gift Cards.
- I usually can procure those with a 12% discount through my grocery store so that's a savings of $540 on the full $4,500 worth of GCs.
- I will take the upgrade offer on the AMEX BCE to an AMEX BCP - that will clear $155 an upgrade bonus + 6% on gift cards purchased at the grocery store on $2,000 in purchases. That's a savings of $275.
So I cashed out 368,500 URs...I earned back 45,417 URs...I NET used ~323k URs which BEATS the 356k URs in my "no discount" scenario AND comes VERY close to my "best case discount" scenario which cost approx 320k URs.
- I could cash our 368,500 URs to totally offset that cost.
- Now let's talk about the last $2,500 in GCs. I can apply for a CIU card which has an MSR of $3,000. I can use that card on the $2,500 remaining GCsa and that is 83.33% of my MSR Sooooo let's attribute 83.33% of that bonus value to this trip. 50k URs + 4,500 URs (base) = 54,500 URs...83.33% of that is 45,417 URs I will replenish as a direct result of purchasing those GCs.
Even if I didn't go for the CIU card and put all $4,500 on the BCP @ 6% cash back, I could still get my NET cost down to $3,535 and only use 353k URs to offset the cash cost.
Obviously my big benefit here is the ability to acquire Disney GCs at a 12% discount through our fuel perks program.
Hopefully somebody finds this exercise to be remotely worthwhile...if not, I enjoy math so no worries, LOL!
Yes we did todayHas anyone had GCs work at Home Depot for RMN?
Netflix still has tons of Disney movies. They haven’t pulled them yetWatching Disney closely, ive started to see a trend of Disney trying to do everything profitable in house now. This could be one of the pushes they are trying to make in preparations for star wars land. Whatever that is not profitable, they push to outside companies.
Profitable in house move - Netflix. Netflix used to host all of Disney's Movie. I dont have netflix but i was told Disney movies were pulled from netflix and now Disney has their own app that has all the Disney movies in it.
No profit moving out - a lot of cast member's services have moved out to other companies. CM dining areas were in house. now its run but Sodexo.
u are correct, the utilization wouldnt matter no more... i was told there is a limit, you would need to push to see what that limit is haha. i do recall seeing a soft limit of 30k on my card though. i could be wrong.
Same happened to me earlier today, but it all came back. Just keep checking.I loaded all my offers yesterday. Today it says need to link cards. None of my stored cards are showing.
Giant Eagle. They have over 200 stores with most located in Western PA and Ohio. They stretch into WV, MD, and IN as well I believe. What is your grocery store? Thats awesome that you can get 12%

That’s my plan tonight. Lol.I just went on a spree this morning. Great offers right now! I went to Home Depot, Walgreens, cvs, and staples. Home Depot is the only one I have never done before. All of these were like $10 back on $20-25. Whoohoo! I think you'd be fine buying a GC at kohls.
Yeah I won’t be paying for that. I’m kind of sad that they are doing this so I’ll just have to stick with the movies we have on dvd.You are correct. Disney ended their agreement with Netflix and all Disney movies will be pulled from Netflix once 2018 is over. Currently they are still there, and new movies which go to dvd are still being added. Black Panther will be the last Disney movie to be added to Netflix, and it will only be there for a month or so before the year ends. Disney definitely decided their was a market for there movies and created their own streaming service.
Wow, thank you! I'm going to try it on our internet/tv bill.DP for those with either the $200 for $200/$50 for $150 (x3) AT&T "Business" Amex offers. I got the $200 on DH's SPG Biz and $150 offer on my ED. So far, I've done the $200/$200 by paying our personal cell phone bills via the standard AT&T site (not the small business site as stated in the offer). The credit just posted today! Still slightly shocked at a free month and a half of cell phone service Now hopefully the $150 offer works the same way! Squeeeeeee!
For those who didn't get it when DOC originally posted about the offer, you may want to check again. I didn't get it at first, checked a few days later, and both showed .
