Passholder discount restrictions on number of "guests"

Applying the discount to the extra person was about 2 years ago. The separate checks for the extra (child's nondiscounted) meal and alcohol was November 2023, at 6 different Disney managed restaurants.

    A Few POR questions

Since there's no balcony or patio and you're unlikely to be looking out the window more than a couple of minutes per day, I wouldn't pay the extra for an upgraded view. Also, two of the four times we booked a standard view they've put us in a water view (maybe we've just been lucky with the...

    Monorail To Epcot

Quick reminder - there's no boat between TTC and CR, monorail is the only option.

The package price also includes a non-alcoholic beverage.

Passholder discount restrictions on number of "guests"

Don't know about Flying Fish, but Homecomin and Raglan Road are third party contractors, not managed by Disney, so their interpretation of rules may be different. Only once has a Disney server applied the discount to more than the specified number for me, but they always automatically apply the...

AYCTE Opinion Question- What do YOU think?

Not Disney, but - we're not big eaters, but we like some of the "Never ending pasta bowl" choices at a popular Italian chain. Our servers have told us that we're perfectly welcome to take what's left on our plates as long as we don't order a second portion. At Disney, we're frequently offered a...

    Modifying Reservations

For fire safety reasons, restaurants have strict head count rules, so even the smallest guests need to be on the reservation.

WDW parking for non resort guests

What time will you be arriving? At most lots, preferred is the first 5-6 rows (closest to the park entrance) and regular parking starts with the row immediately after that. We arrive for rope drop and are generally in the first 2 rows of the regular section.

    Via Napole Glutten Free Options

DH has celiac disease and we ate there last summer. He had fettucine alfredo made with gluten-free pasta and had no problems.

    Drawn to Life

A few months ago we sat in section 204, row U, seats 1 and 2, so basically the mirror image of your seat location. We were really happy with the view, and considering the relatively low price would sit there again. View was mostly unobstructed, though distant, but at a couple of points in the...

    Festival of Fantasy Parade

The elevated walkway between Liberty Tree Tavern and Diamond Horseshoe has a few benches to sit on while you wait, and if you stand you can see over the heads of spectators along the ropes.

Regal Eagle: Alternatives to garlic toast?

I don't know if you want to chance it, but Regal Eagle serves the least garlicky garlic bread I've ever had - you can barely taste it. You might also try asking if they could substitute another side instead, since I think on the mobile order site the sides like beans or pickles are the same...

How often do you visit with kids?

We lived in the northeast, and school usually started the Wednesday after Labor Day. We'd go the last week of August; rooms were discounted and the crowd levels had dropped a bit (admittedly, the temperature and humidity were awful). The ONLY time my kids missed school for a Disney trip was the...

    restaurant recommendations for each park

If it's going to be spring or fall, book an 11:30 lunch at Tony's at MK and ask for an outside table. Nothing beats watching the parade from a comfortable seat in a non-crowded area with dessert in front of you.

    Breakfast menus

Both Grand Floridian Cafe and Whispering Canyon serve the same menu from breakfast through lunch. I've had a pulled pork sandwich for breakfast, and last week had oatmeal and fruit for a late lunch (both at WC), and had pancakes for lunch at GFC.

Mac and cheese, at the Grand?

If you want good mac and cheese, go to Regal Eagle at Epcot - definitely not the usual grocery store freezer case stuff. I sometimes skip the combo meal and get 2 side orders - plenty for a quick lunch.

Having dessert? The "kitchen sink" cookie in the bakery case is fantastic!

    Booking more than 7 days

Part of our group had a minor change of plans and I had to drop the first day and add 3 at the end. Once I was within 11 months +7 days of our check-out date, I did it via the online chat. Cast member was super friendly and it took about 3 minutes.

    Medicine in Shops

DD caught a bad cold 2 days into our vacation, and the sundries shop at Contemporary had only cough drops and allergy meds. We had a car so we went to Publix.

Wilderness Lodge - non guest / parking at MK

How many in your family? If it's just one or two adults and a kid or two, you might consider making a breakfast reservation at Whispering Canyon, which would get you free parking at WL. The $30 you'd save by not parking in the MK lot would go a long way toward a relatively inexpensive TS meal.
